Metroid Dread leaked online - Switch exclusive launched on PC

A pirate image of the Nintendo Switch exclusive Metroid Dread appeared online three days before the game's release. Moreover, enthusiasts have already tested its performance in the Yuzu emulator. On a computer with a GTX 1060 Ti and i5 7500, the game ran without noticeable lags or glitches.

Yuzu is a free and open source Nintendo Switch emulator. Developed since January 2018 by the team that previously released Citra, a Nintendo 3DS emulator.

In Metroid Dread, players will explore the dangerous planet ZDR. In the course of the passage, Samus (the name of the protagonist) will have to face the bloodthirsty robots EMMI.They cannot be destroyed, so the girl will often have to hide and run away. In addition to robots, the planet is inhabited by huge monsters. Later, the girl will have the opportunity to explore new locations in order to find secrets. In the arsenal of the heroine there is a special magnet for crawling along the walls, and she also knows how to turn into a ball.

The game will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021.
