In Far Cry 6 , as in projects from other series, Ubisoft developers have added a huge number of different collectibles, among which there are cryptograms. The game does not have any clues on the map for them, so it will be very difficult to collect all the items. To do this, you will have to thoroughly go around the entire location. For an easier search, refer to our guide, in which we detail the location of all cryptograms.
What are cryptogram chests for?
In the vastness of Yara, there are 15 chests, to open which you will need to collect 30 cryptograms. After collecting items from each storage, the player will receive the corresponding in-game achievement "Brain Workout".
Near each chest there are 2 cryptograms at close range. We collect both and we get the opportunity to climb inside the storage and pick up its contents. Each of these chests contains high quality armor. Finding out their location for paid currency, as with roosters and USB drives , will not work. The hero must independently determine the location of the chest from the blue drawings on the buildings and find cryptograms to open it.
When approaching each vault, the player will hear a characteristic ringing, which will tell you which way to go. Unlike vaults (marked with a white chest), cryptograms are not shown on the minimap, however, they are always very close in the same area.
As well as collecting roosters and flash cards, the player can keep track of all previously found cryptograms. This will help you easily identify missing objects with our guide. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open your inventory.
- Go to the "Collections" section.
- Click on the "Cryptogram" window.
It is recommended first of all to clear the area from all anti-aircraft installations, as this will help activate airborne assault on bases and use a variety of aircraft. This will allow you to quickly get to all the specified points.
Please note that the exact location of the chests and cryptograms is marked in the screenshots with the standard character icon in the game (blue or white, depending on the current state of the marker). After collecting two cryptograms, we return to the chest and take the reward from it. To do this, first you need to press the button to hack the chest, and then wait a while until the storage with the reward opens.
Chest with cryptogram # 1. Where are the cryptograms "# 06 - Royal Palm" and "# 1 - Flag of Yara"
The first storage facility is located northwest of the city of Armonia on the island of Santuario.
Immediately we jump onto the roof of the building and take away the cryptogram "# 06 - Royal Palm" on the brick structure near the chair.
We go around the house on the right and find a small metal structure that vaguely resembles a tunnel. We sit down and get to its end. Inside we find the cryptogram "# 1 - Yara Flag".
Chest with cryptogram # 2. Where are the cryptograms "# 22 - Dog" and "# 03 - Pig"
This box is located on a tower with a water barrel next to the houses of the El Dorado resort. We land on the Cortina weather station and fly to the desired location. If you didn't manage to climb the tower right away, then you can use the "Cat".
We move south and get to the beach. The cryptogram "# 03 - Pig" is hidden on the extreme southwest islet on a stone with blue drawings.
The cryptogram "# 22 - Dog" is located at the southernmost point of this beach. We go around the small stone and take away the collectible.
Chest with cryptogram # 3. Where are the cryptograms "# 10 - Rooster" and "# 25 - Yara Libre"
We leave for the small town of Poesia in the west of Madrugada, which is located across the strait from the Tempestad lighthouse. The chest is located near a small house on the pier.
We cross the strait on any ship and climb onto the stones from the western side. They are located slightly north of the lighthouse. On a small platform, we will find the cryptogram "# 10 - Rooster".
We climb back into the boat and move along the rocks along the blue marks. We stop near the pole with an attached piece of wood and go ashore. Use the "Cat" and take away the collectible cryptogram "# 25 - Yara Libre"
Chest with cryptogram # 4. Where are the cryptograms "# 16 - Trompo" and "# 19 - Dawn Orchid Flower"
We move to the city of Werdera, which is located in the Losania region. We follow north and climb into a house with a billboard. To do this, you need to catch on to the visor in front of the building and climb the stairs behind the billboard.
We jump over to the neighboring house with blue drawings and rags. We move in a straight line and climb onto a house with a small water barrel. The cryptogram "# 16 - Trompo" will be located on it.
We follow the roofs further. Use blue wooden bridges and fabric platforms. We climb onto the roof of the house with another barrel and find the cryptogram "# 19 - Dawn Orchid Flower".
Chest with cryptogram # 5. Where are the cryptograms "# 28 - Yaranskaya butterfly queen" and "# 12 - Shark"
We call transport at the pier and get to the island opposite. We climb up the ledges and find the cryptogram "# 28 - Yaranskaya butterfly-queen".
We use water transport again and follow to the neighboring island. We stop on the western side near the bells and a bar with a piece of wood. We jump into the water and go down to the bottom to pick up the cryptogram "# 12 - Shark".
Chest with cryptogram # 6. Where are the cryptograms "# 23 - Libertad Emblem" and "# 04 - Starfish"
We move to the city of Ferosa, which is located near the Chudia Verde River in the Balaseras region. We follow to the southern part of the settlement to the dump. The storage is located near a small house.
Both cryptograms are hidden very close to the chest, however they are behind wooden pallets that need to be broken. Cryptogram "23 - Libertad Emblem" is in a container near a large pile of trash. We break the piece of wood and climb through the hole in the wall.
Cryptogram "# 04 - Starfish is hidden in an old wrecked car located next to a freestanding booth." We break the pallet and take the collectible inside the car.
Chest with cryptogram # 7. How to find cryptograms "13 - Cat" and "# 29 - Sausep"
The chest is located northwest of the Segunda settlement in a large field with tall grass. It is located on a high tower that you can climb up the stairs.
Both cryptograms are within a 10 meter radius of the chest. Both collectibles are found in small rooms underground. We break the pallets that cover the holes and take away the cryptograms "13 - Cat" (located in a flooded room) and "# 29 - Sausep".
As a clue, pay attention to the fuel barrels that are located near these trenches. You can also blow up fuel containers to free the passage.
Chest with cryptogram # 8. Where are the cryptograms "# 09 - Tarantula" and "# 26 - Boxing gloves"
This storage facility is located at the foot of a flooded tower in the Noventarmas region, just north of the Dulce sugar factory.
We immediately climb up the stairs and use the "Cat" to climb up the tower. We climb over the fence and go to the other side of the building. We climb from the outside one tier higher with the help of vines and again use the hook inside the structure. Climbing to the topmost section, we take away the cryptogram "# 09 - Tarantula".
We find a tower on the western part of the flooded area and, using a wing suit, we fly to the upper tier of the structure. Inside we find the cryptogram "# 26 - Boxing Gloves".
Chest with cryptogram # 9. How to find cryptograms "# 20 - Sapota" and "# 17 - Coin"
We follow to the settlement of Ruben, which is located on the eastern coast in the Barial area, far from the Gulf of Tormentoso. The storage is located in the south of the city by the road.
We move east to the pier and find the cryptogram "# 20 - Sapota" under a wooden bridge.
We go from the chest to the south and find a cave. You can get into it either through an open passage from the mountain or blow up the blockage with a grenade or a mine, and then you need to get inside. On the wooden bridge we find the cryptogram "# 17 - Coin".
Chest with cryptogram # 10. Where are the cryptograms "# 18 - Cigar" and "# 21 - Croco-Taxi"
We land at the Guaracha shelter in the La Jolla area and fly north to the nearest coast. Here we will find the Pride of the People clinic, located to the right across the road from the Sendrovsky residential complex. The chest is located on the roof of the hospital.
We follow to the southern building of the Sendrovsky residential complex and climb onto the roof with the help of the “Cat”. We use the cable and roll down to the northern building. To the right of the cable we take the cryptogram "# 18 - Cigar".
We use a parachute or wing suit and fly to the opposite building across the road. We approach it from the side of the Aguha Bay and use the scaffolding to climb onto the roof. Near the metal barrels we will find the cryptogram "# 21 - Croco-Taxi".
Chest with cryptogram # 11. How to find cryptograms "# 14 - Horse" and "# 30 - Dominoes"
We leave for the settlement of Barriga. If it is not open, then we parachute at the checkpoint on the plain of Arros and fly south through the Laguna Cauto de Paso swamp. The storage is located on the pier next to a small fishing lodge.
Both cryptograms are located near the bolted huts, so we successively go by water or air transport to the points indicated in the screenshots. We will find the cryptogram "# 30 - Domino" on the western bank of the swamp.
We follow north along the coast. Find the cryptogram "# 14 - Horse" near the perch fishing spot at the fisherman's house.
Chest with cryptogram # 12. How to detect cryptograms "# 07 - El Cocodrilo" and "# 27 - Tokororo"
We will land in the city of Barriga and with the help of a wing suit we fly south to Lake Igado. We get to the Casa-Marroquin ranch. We climb onto the roof of the house and find a chest.
We pick up any vehicle and follow along the west coast. Find a wooden corral and break down the front door. Inside we find the cryptogram "# 07 - El Cocodrilo".
We are moving to the southern coast of the lake. We find a wooden truss and in a small passage we take away the cryptogram "# 27 - Tokororo".
Chest with cryptogram # 13. Where to find cryptograms "# 05 - Machete" and "# 24 - Cup"
We leave for the east coast to the city of Concepcion. We climb onto the roof of a house in the central part of the settlement to find a chest. To do this, you need to climb onto the neighboring building with the help of the "Cat" and slide down the cable to the storage.
We jump over to the adjacent building and go down into the courtyard. In the covered trade tent we will find the cryptogram "# 05 - Machete".
We immediately go up the stairs and move to the other side of the street. We take away on the roof next to the workbench and take away the cryptogram "# 24 - Cup".
Chest with cryptogram # 14. Where to find the cryptograms "# 08 - Clasico Machine" and "# 15 - Flamingo"
We leave for Esperanza and follow to the southern city limits. To do this, we are transferred to the San Cayetano orphanage, get on the transport and get to the storage, which is located in the courtyard behind the house.
Here we use the "Cat" and climb onto the roof of the building. We move on and jump down to the adjacent building. At the end of the roof we find the cryptogram "# 08 - Clasico Machine". As a guide, notice the blue arrow showing the direction of travel.
We use the cable and roll down to the next house. We climb onto the roof along the vines and take away the cryptogram "# 15 - Flamingo".
Chest with cryptogram # 15. Where to find the cryptograms "# 11 - Rum" and "# 02 - La Guitarra"
The last chest is located a few meters from the Cathedral of La Divinidad. If the point has not yet been captured, then we move to the Santa Leticia square and reach the point by car. We use the hook and climb to the roof to the storage.
We climb up the red stairs to the very top of the building adjacent to the cathedral. We jump over to the adjacent building and grab onto the liana. On the door we will find the cryptogram "# 02 - La Guitarra".
We climb into the central section of the cathedral. We move only along the balconies. We pass through the large wooden doors to the open balcony. We take away the last cryptogram "# 11 - Rum". You can also jump on it from the building opposite, but it is much easier to get to the collectible through the cathedral.
