Where to find and how to collect all the tablets (paintings with visions) in Dark Pictures: House of Ashes (updated)

 

The developers at Supermassive Games, as in previous parts of their anthology, have added a full collection of collectibles. This mechanic allows you to find out some details about the environment and history of the game world. In this guide, we'll show you how to collect all the paintings in Dark Pictures: House of Ashes .

What are paintings for? 

Unlike various things scattered across all locations, there is a separate category of collectibles - paintings. In Dark Pictures: House of Ashes, they are of practical use and are presented in the form of special tablets with various cave paintings. Each item contains a unique vision that displays a small piece of history.

The events shown may or may not occur. It all depends only on the further actions of the player. Most often, the pictures show some key moments in which one of the heroes of the game dies. To get hints, it is recommended to collect all of them, since when analyzed in detail, they can help make an important decision in the future.

Chapter "Curse". How to find the painting "Insurgents" 

In the very first chapter "The Curse" we will find a tablet after a long video and meeting with a prisoner. It will be located a few steps away from the hero in a location with a large hole in the floor.

Chapter "Underworld". How to find the painting "In crowded" 

In the chapter "The Underworld", after all the cutscenes, we follow Jason. To the left of the gate, which the heroes in the story should open, there is a small staircase. We rise along it and go inside a small room. The painting will be located directly in front of the player.

Chapter "Underworld". How to find the painting "Daylight" 

In the same chapter, "The Underworld", after several actions by Jason and Nick, control passes to Salim. We move a little deeper into the cave and find the corpse of an American soldier. From it we go a few meters to the left and right in front of the player in a small corner there will be a sign with a vision.

Chapter "Pazuzu". How to find the painting "Fall" 

In the "Pazuzu" scene, Rachel and Eric will find themselves in a small tunnel. We move forward along the corridor and at the first fork we turn to the right. In a dead end, we examine the object and get a new vision.

Chapter “Temple. How to find the painting "Ultraviolet" 

After descending into the huge room in the "Temple" chapter, we immediately go up the nearest stairs towards the throne. We go around the large statue and turn into a small corridor on the right. We move to the only room and study the sign opposite the entrance.

Chapter "Parting". How to find the painting "Col" 

In the "Separation" scene, after Rachel falls into the abyss, control will pass to Jason. We are engaged in repairing the generator and, according to the plot, we go into the lighted corridor. Having reached the stretch, we carefully climb over it. To the right of the hero's location on a wooden box, we will find a new vision.

Chapter "Assassin". How to find the painting "Defeat" 

Jason, Nick and Eric in the "Assassin" chapter will find themselves in narrow tunnels. Find Joey's things and move on. Having reached a large room, next to a shovel and other tools we will find a plate.

Chapter "Truce". How to find the painting "Stretch" 

In the "Truce" scene, Jason will take control. We move in a circle and carefully examine all the objects lying on the floor. Next to the bloodless corpse, we will find a tablet with a vision.

Chapter "Signal". How to find the painting "Thirst" 

Returning to the temple in the "Signal" chapter, we take control of Nick. After the cut-scene, we immediately go to the nearest column. To the right of it there will be a painting on a wooden box.

Chapter "The Enemy of My Enemy". How to find the painting "Companions" 

In the scene "The Enemy of My Enemy" we take control of Salim. We move through the plot, open the door and talk to Jason. In this dialogue, you can tell the soldier that the monsters are vampires. After completing the QTE, we examine the plate on the wall.

Chapter "Ancient". How to find the painting "Sacrifice" 

After descending into the mines in the "Ancient" scene, Jason and Salim are the first to find themselves on the lower tier of the catacombs. We stand with our backs to the elevator and move on the right side. We pass a couple of meters and turn into a small nook. We will find a new vision on earth.

Chapter "Alien Eternity". How to find the painting "Hotel" 

In the chapter "Alien Eternity", the heroes get to a large hall, in the center of which there is an alien device making various sounds. We move from the entrance to the right past the table and near the water on the box we examine the final plate.
