ANIMAL CROSSING GYROID, WHAT IS IT FOR?

Gyroids have finally arrived in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! But what is it for, and how do I get it? We explain to you.

An iconic item of Animal Crossing, gyroids have finally landed in New Horizons following the latest free update to the game! These gyroids are normally found in the same way as fossils, but in this game they work a little differently.

Indeed, to find gyroids, you must first find fragments , then plant them on your island and water them. But where and how to find fragments of gyroids, and what is the ultimate use of these iconic objects?

What are gyroids used for in Animal Crossing?

You are probably wondering what these gyroids , which are very famous in Animal Crossing, are used for? They actually have no use ! They are simply collectibles , which can make music when you interact with them.

Some gyroids are useful but are not collectable: these are the ones that ask you for bells to build bridges or shops.

Where are the gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons ?

To find gyroids in the game, you will first need to find Gyroid Shards , by going by boat to the Admiral Mystery Islands . One shard per day can be found, and replanted on your island.

By watering it, you will get a gyroid the next day ! Once this is done, you may occasionally have gyroids on your island, especially in the aftermath of downpours. They will be present in the ground, with the exact same cross shape as the fossils! Use your shovel to dig them up.
