In League of Legends, 2 of the best teams in the world are in a crisis. The Chinese team FunPlus Phoenix loses three of their best players with Tian, Doinb and Nuguri after the LoL Worlds 2021. DWG KIA is also in a crisis: the top players Canyon, Beryl and Showmaker are free agents, top Laner Khan has to join the military and there is real trouble with ADC Ghost.
This is the situation at FunPlus Phoenix:
- FunPlus Phoenix are the world champions from 2019 who beat all other teams with an outstanding combo of jungler and midlaner. In the final they wiped the floor with the European hope G2 Esports. In addition, they were given a clear farewell announcement.

It started with rumors that top laner Nuguri would be returning to DWG KIA to replace Khan. That would have been ironic, because Nuguri switched from world champion DWG KIA to FunPlus Phoenix in 2020 and replaced Khan there.

There has been quite a drama about the ADC "Ghost" in South Korea the last few days. Apparently he wanted to leave DWG KIA and had contacted another team. The "other" team is NS Redforce - but he accused the team of lying to him and wasting his time.
The CEO of NS Redforce said it wasn't like that, they made an offer that was rejected (via inven ). Apparently there was a misunderstanding between the two teams and the player.

The situation of the 3 other starts from DWG KIA is still unclear at the moment: Supporter Beryl, Jungler Canyon and the currently probably best player in the world, Showmaker, are officially free agents. DWG KIA has announced that it will offer them new contracts.
It seems like the three LoL stars are waiting to see how much money they will get from teams in the Chinese League, LPL; get offered.
