How to Quickly Raise Your Final Fantasy XIV Crafters to Level 80

Raising a crafter to level 80 (and soon 90) in Final Fantasy XIV is, in my experience, one of the pending tasks of many players , as well as a very important part of the content of this MMO.

Let's see, then, how to reach the maximum level, starting from the moment you unlock the class until you reach 80, a limit that we will soon see pulverized with the arrival of the new expansion (of which we have already told you when reviewing the Reaper's abilities and Sage's ).

Raise your Final Fantasy XIV crafters to level 80

To begin with, obviously we will have to unlock them. This guide is suitable for any type of crafter, so it does not matter if you are Blacksmith or Culinarian, you can follow all the steps without problems. Besides that, this process will be separated into three parts : the first one goes from level 1 to 20 and you don't need anything other than the game to do it. Then we will see what to do between levels 20 and 70, but for that you will need to have finished the second expansion of the game, Heavensward, (which is included in the free trial of the game) and have reached level 60 with your main class. Finally, the stretch from level 70 to 80 is going to ask you to have unlocked and made a bit of progress on the current expansion, Shadowbringers.

The path from level 1 to 20

Right out of the box, if you are inexperienced with crafters, it is normal to be a bit overwhelmed. I'm going to introduce you to a close friend with whom you will spend a large part of this process: the Crafting Log . This list of items you can create (which you can access by pressing N on your keyboard) will give you experience for each new item you craft. Your task in the first levels is going to be to make the things that you see there for the first time. This is pretty cheap because, at least at low levels, the materials will be sold to you by your guild's Guild Supplier.

The path from level 1 to 20

As you go up, yes, you will have to get some ingredients in the Market Board, farming with your combat classes or through the gatherers. Be that as it may, you don't have to do all of them either. Choose the highest level item you can, create it once, and if you have a lot of materials, simply use the Quick Synthesis option , which will allow you to mass-craft without the need for skills. By repeating this a few times (and without neglecting your class quests) you will reach level 20 without problems.

Firmament and the Ishgard Restoration: going from level 20 to 70

Starting at level 20, if you have met the previously detailed requirements, you can go to Firmament to participate in the Ishgard Restoration. What does this mean? Fast levels, very fast, but you will have to drop some money or upload a gatherer. If you open your Crafting Log again, you will see that there is an option to access special recipes (which you can find in the next photo). Remember that when giving Ishgard Restoration, you need to use Restoration (4). There you will find that many of the materials are special. Those with the red stamp can only be obtained through the Market Board or by using Miner or Botanist in Diadem, the Firmament area designed to raise gatherers. Hey, if you dare, you can still take the opportunity to upload these two roles (and I can take the opportunity to make another guide).

Firmament and the Ishgard Restoration: going from level 20 to 70

But hey, you will see that the Ishgard Restoration recipes have quite varied levels (20, 40, 60, 70 and 80). We are going to ignore the levels 70 and 80, as they do not serve us right now, and focus on the 20, 40 and 60 . These objects will have to be delivered to the NPC Potkin, located in Firmament (x12.2 and 14.6). If you pay attention, you will notice that there are 3 experience rewards for each item. Why is this? Well, it will depend on the quality with which you finish your crafting. They all have a minimum quality , and you have to be careful with that, because not reaching it will mean that you have thrown your materials in the trash.

That being said, don't be obsessed with reaching the highest quality because, although it is useful and can make a difference, it is better to finish crafting than to fail by trying to maximize quality too much. On the other hand, keep an eye on your gear! The NPCs called Battlecraft Supplier, Independent Jeweler and Fieldcraft Supplier will sell you the equipment you need (up to level 50 you will have them in Ul'dah, Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, at level 60 you will have to go to Ishgard and at level 70 the action will move to Kugane ).

It does not stop here! To boost your levels from 60 you can also make friends with the Namazu! These funny (and silly, very silly) fish live in Othard's Azim Steppe (Dhoro Illoh's Aeterite) and will give you 3 daily quests that will take a lot of experience. Also, if you plan to do this with all your crafters, in the long run you can buy them minions, emotes and even a mount. How well mounted they have it!

Crystarium Milds: the final stretch to level 80

If you've already reached level 70, you'll see that your progress at the end has been drastically reduced, but don't worry! Shadowbringers not only brought with it a great story, great raids, and unforgettable fights, but a frankly incredible way to get to the top level with crafters. Leave Ishgard for Crystarium and head to the Crystalline Mean Aetherite (x10.2 y7.8) inside the city. Of course, keep in mind that you will need to have finished the Travelers of Norvrandt quests (one of the first in the expansion), in addition to having raised a crafter to level 70.

If you've done all of this, you can talk to Eirikur (x9.7 and 9.0) to unlock the levequests. These will come in 2-level intervals (from 70 to 78) and your task will be to choose the quest that gives the most EXP of those offered (there will be 3 per batch), buy the ingredients in the Market Board (don't worry about the money , because you will recover practically everything by delivering the quests) and crafting the objects that they ask for. It is very, very important, yes, to do everything in HQ, that is, with the highest quality. In levequests, when you deliver something in HQ, they give you double reward (both money and experience), something that will interest you twice. Keep in mind that these leves can be repeated and, although you need slight allowances to use them, the normal thing is to have 100 of them at the beginning of the process. If they run out, every 12 hours they will give you 3, which means that you can do 3 levequests every 12 hours if necessary.

Crystarium Milds: the final stretch to level 80

Also, if you want to take advantage to get more extra prizes, you have the Tribe Quests of the dwarves in Lakeland (x9.1 and 12.9). This is something you should do if you want to get his dance and mount, but realistically, when it comes to leveling up you won't need it . Keep in mind that the quests they give have good experience as a reward, yes, but the Crystarium method of the levies will allow you to climb those last 10 crafter levels in about an hour / hour and a half.

Once all this is done, you will have your crafter maxed without problems .
