Twitch would be down: why?
For several years, the Twitch site has been the benchmark in terms of streaming. With millions of spectators daily in different categories, this site initially intended to broadcast video games live has gradually diversified.
With dozens of categories that now include chats, pool streams, artists and even political debates, Twitch has become a window to the world, especially after this period of confinement where everyone has had to stay at home for a long time. But the platform could encounter some difficulties ...
Why is Twitch down?
According to the first elements, everything would come from a failure of Fastly , a CDN (Content Delivery Network) solution. Fastly allows caching to be hosted all over the world to improve performance while browsing the Internet. It is a failure of Fastly which would be at the origin of these very numerous failures.
Twitch users are reportedly having trouble signing in. For the moment, the platform has not communicated on the networks to explain the origin of this failure. But the streaming platform is not the only one affected, since the famous Reddit discussion site would also be affected.
The Downdetector site reports problems on many sites: Amazon, Twitch, Reddit, Spotify, Vimeo, Cloudflare, Paypal ... Even Twitter would be affected, with emojis that would not appear. Dozens of reports have emerged since around 11:12 am on June 8. Repairs should arrive quickly at all of these sites.
