Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the sequel to the well-known zombie action game with parkour, was released today. The game was developed by Techland Studio. And already at the release, many players faced problems. As it turned out, when choosing "New Game", Dying Light 2 can crash to the desktop. Fortunately, the developers promptly suggested a solution. True, it is only relevant for the Steam version, but it's still better than nothing.
So, first, you need to try the recommended method.
- Open the Steam client and go to the game library.
- Right-click on Dying Light 2 and select "Properties".
- In the "Launch Options" section, enter "/nolightfx" (without quotes).
After that, save the data and start the game again. It is important to note that if you bought a PC game in another store, then you have to wait for a new patch.
In addition, it is recommended to check whether all the files have been downloaded and installed correctly. To do this, we carry out verification.
- We go to Steam and go to the library of games.
- Right-click on Dying Light 2 and select "Properties".
- There, on the "Local files" tab, select "Check the integrity of local files" and wait for the results of the check.
This will take some time depending on the network bandwidth, but it's worth checking.
Of course, it is recommended to update the graphics card drivers to the latest version so that there are no problems with this. It is also desirable that there is additional space on the disk.
