How to get all achievements in Stray

 How to get every achievement, achievement, and trophy in two playthroughs


Let's start with statistics. Stray has a total of 12 chapters in which you can find 67 collectibles. To knock out platinum, you have to collect all of them. The first passage with the collection of all the collectibles will take you from 4 to 6 hours, and it will take 1.5-2 hours to repeat the high-speed one. If you do not get distracted by anything else, then 2 hours is enough time for a speedrun and get the corresponding achievement (moreover, in a speed run, in the allotted two hours, you can even collect all the collectibles, but provided that you have perfectly studied all game levels).

How to get all achievements in Stray

Step 1: collectibles and story loot walkthrough (4-6 hours)

Use our guides to collect all the collectibles. Find below the achievements associated with them. Then you will have to complete the game in the allotted 2 hours.

Step 2: speedrun (2 hours)

To get the Fast Run achievement, you need to complete the game in 2 hours or less. Start a new game from the main screen by selecting an empty save slot. Complete the story within 2 hours. You can back up your saved game to the PS+ cloud or USB storage (Console Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data > Console Storage). The two hours allotted to you is a good amount of time, especially if you only follow the main goals and ignore everything else. In this case, the game can be completed in about an hour and a half, that is, you will have about 30 minutes for mistakes.


Loading screens are not taken into account, but dialogues are taken into account. During dialogues, click on the corresponding buttons and keys to quickly skip them. In Stray, cutscenes cannot be skipped, and they count towards the speedrun. Restarts from checkpoints and the death of the main character increases the game time, so avoid such situations. Pausing the game will also pause the speed run so you can take a break.


We recommend doing manual backups every 1-2 chapters. If you get stuck somewhere in the next chapters for a long time, you can use them and repeat part of the passage without having to start all over again. You can exit to the main screen and examine the save slot to see the current time spent on the passage. Write down the codes for doors and safes on a separate piece of paper.


After getting the Fast Run achievement, you may need the Productive Day trophy. Based on the description, you are asked to rest for one hour. You can do this in the fourth chapter: just lie down next to Morusk (the robot to which you brought the collectible notes). You don't have to press anything. Let the computer or console work for one hour, and the cat sleeps in the lounger.

Chatterbox cat

Acquisition Condition: Meow 100 times.


Click on "circle" or ALT to meow. Do this 100 times. This can be done even at the very beginning of the game. Perhaps this will be your first achievement if you read this material before passing. It will take no more than two minutes to meow 100 times. You can meow during videos and animations.


Cat-a-remote

Acquisition Condition: Jump up 500 times.


To jump, you need to find some kind of ledge, where a hint appears with the name of the desired key/button (“Space” or “cross”, respectively). You will be able to get this trophy automatically during your first playthrough as you will have to jump throughout the game. A quick way to do this already in the first chapter is the moment when the game will tell you how to jump on several ledges in a row by holding the "Space" or "X". You can jump to one side and the other. Again, there is no need to waste time on a quick farming achievement, since you will earn it on the first playthrough (I managed to earn an achievement somewhere in the chapter "Rooftops").

Condition of obtaining: sleep more hours.


Throughout the game, you will find various places where you can click on the "triangle" to fall asleep. A good place for this is the fourth chapter of The Slums. After meeting with the Guardian (a robot with a straw hat and a staff, standing in front of the garage), go to the left side to find a robot with a guitar named Morusk. It is to him that you need to bring musical notes. On the left side of Morusk is a small cat bed: interact with it to lie down. Do any business for the next hour, do not press any buttons. You don't have to press any buttons, just leave your console or PC on and make sure the controller battery doesn't run out or your game will be paused.

Condition of obtaining: throw the ball into the basket.


In the fourth chapter of "Slums", after talking with the first humanoid robot, whose name is the Guardian, look for a basketball on the right side of it. Push him off the ledge so he rolls down and into the bucket. If it doesn't hit the bucket, restart the game from a checkpoint and try again.


You can't catch up with the cat (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Complete the first Zurk chase and don't get caught.


In the second chapter "Dead City" you will run away from the Zurks for the first time. This will happen after you find a dying robot. You will be chased by small bugs with yellow glowing eyes - Zurki. You must go through this chase without any of the bugs clinging to you. When you see a tooltip with a "circle" or the ALT key, it means that Zurk has attached himself to you, and you failed the attempt.



If this happens, restart the last checkpoint and retry the steps. The chase takes approximately one minute. If done correctly, the trophy is unlocked by jumping through the window at the end of the chase. The simplest tactic is to constantly zigzag. Constantly tilt the left stick left and right, press the A and D keys alternately. If you constantly change direction, moving in a zigzag, it will be more difficult for the Zurkas to jump on the cat. This is one of the most difficult achievements in the game. Keep restarting from a checkpoint until you succeed. If you don't want to deal with this on your first playthrough, you can try again later via the chapter select menu.


Cunning Cat (secret achievement)

Acquisition condition: go through Midtown and don't get caught by the Guardians.


In the tenth chapter called "Midtown", you will be taken to the place of the same name. After you bring Blazer a jacket and a worker's helmet, you can get to the factory. This is the very place associated with this achievement. Guard drones with blue spotlights fly around the factory. To get an achievement, you can not catch their eye. If their spotlight turns yellow or red, restart the last checkpoint immediately. This action is allowed and does not invalidate the achievement, so use it as often as needed. You need to go through the factory, then return to Clementine's apartment (guardian drones will also appear there) and quietly leave the residential complex. The trophy will unlock the moment you get close to the nightclub.


Each drone patrols a certain area and moves along a strictly defined route. Some drones will be stationary, but at certain intervals, they will change the direction of the spotlight. Take your time, learn their routes and quickly pass by while they look the other way.


Tips for each drone:


  • First drone - when it looks to the left, run past it to the right.
  • The second and third drones - in the next room you need to wait a bit for the left drone to fly towards the right one. Then jump over the barrels in the water, avoiding the two drones.
  • Fourth drone. Jump on the crate on the left to reach the switch behind it. Pull the lever, jump over the railing and hide behind the crates in the middle. When he turns away, runs to the already open door to the left.
  • The fifth and sixth drones - in the corridor with moving containers, you need to hide behind the containers to stay in the shadows. They block the view of drones.

  • The seventh and eighth drones - in the next corridor after jumping over the barrels in the water, run after the left drone. Use the moving container again to stay in the shadows and get past the eighth drone.
  • At the end of the corridor is a red laser grid. Jump into the barrel in front of it and roll it through the lasers so you don't get hit. Activate the robot on the right and park it near the fence on the left side. Jump over it, lower the lever to lower the fence, and access the second robot. Put one robot on the left platform, the other on the right. After that, roll the barrel to the middle platform. Leave the factory using the cable car outside.
  • The first two drones in the Clementine housing estate. When you leave the factory and go to the Clementine apartment complex, you will see the first two drones in the hall. They remain motionless and just rotate the spotlights. Run from one obstacle to another until you can bypass the stairs and climb up.
  • Three drones on the second floor. When you climb the first set of stairs to the second floor, you will find three drones here at once. Go down the left corridor, then move along the middle one, where the second drone flies back and forth. When the drone turns away, jump onto the railing and drop down to the AC units behind the railing. Wait for the drone to fly in the other direction and then jump off the railing to hide behind it. Climb up the next ladder on the left.
  • Two drones on the third floor. There are 2 more drones on the top floor. Jump over the railing and balance on the beam in the middle that connects to the other side and leads to Clementine's apartment. One drone patrols the area in front of the apartment. When he flies to the right, you can safely jump through the window into Clementine's apartment.

After collecting all the clues in Clementine's apartment, you will have to quietly leave the residential complex. Jump out the window, making sure the patrol drone is facing the other way, then jump over the railing to the beam in the middle of the floor and jump down the ledges/air conditioner units to the first tier. Make sure the drone underneath is facing away and jump down to the ground and then run outside. Achievement will be credited on the way to the nightclub.

Acquisition condition: die 9 times.

The first opportunity to get an achievement is in the second chapter "Dead City". You are interested in chasing Zurks (beetles with yellow glowing eyes that you need to run away from). Instead of running from the bugs, let them catch you. After they kill you, press the specified key/button to try again. Let the Zurks kill you 9 more times until you get the achievement. You can also farm this achievement during any other Zurk encounter. You cannot die if you fall.

Scratches (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Scratch the vinyl in the club.

Toward the end of the tenth chapter of Midtown, you will find yourself in a nightclub. There is a record on one of the tables at the bar. Pick it up and place it on the turntable on the main stage. Then press the specified key/button to scratch the record.

Pacifist (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Complete the Sewers without killing any Zurka.

In the eighth chapter "Sewers", you must act quickly and stealthily so as not to kill a single Zurka (beetle with glowing yellow eyes). That is, in no case do not turn on the purple lantern (Doc's weapon). Just run past all the Zurks without killing anyone. It's okay if one of them clings to you. You can shake off Zurka on "circle" or ALT. Even if Zurk falls into the water, it will not count as a kill. The main thing is not to use Doc's weapons.

You are also allowed to reload from checkpoints (if you accidentally killed Zurka). If you don't want to deal with this on your first playthrough, you can unlock it later, via the chapter select menu or during a speedrun. After going through the chapter once, it will be easier for you, because you will know where and at what moment to go.


Skorokot

Condition of receipt: complete the game in less than 2 hours.

Tips:

  • Write down all the passwords from the game on a separate piece of paper.

  • Reloading from checkpoints or dying your character does not rewind time, so try to avoid such situations.
  • Just in case, make a manual backup of your save to PS+ Cloud/USB every 1-2 chapters. In which case you can reboot and do not have to start all over again.
  • On the main screen, you can examine the save slot to see the current passage time.
  • In the eleventh chapter, there is a difficult part where you have to lock two drones in the cells on the left. They can kill you. Back up your save before dealing with drones.
  • The pause stops the speedrun time, so you can take a break. You can also go to the main screen.

Failed jump (secret achievement)

Acquisition condition: fall inside the city.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Unlocked in Chapter 2, after exiting the sewers and entering the Dead City.


Not alone (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Familiarize yourself with B-12.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Unlocked in Chapter 3, after the first encounter with the B-12 drone.

Did you swallow your tongue? (Secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Ask B-12 to translate what the robot says.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Opens in the fourth chapter, during communication with the first humanoid robot Guardian.


Cat path (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Get to Midtown.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Unlocks in Chapter 10 when you find yourself on a large, neon-lit Midtown street.

Al-kot-ras (secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Hit an error.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Unlocks at the beginning of the eleventh chapter.


Eureka! (secret achievement)

Obtaining condition: pass the game and transport to the city.

You will get this achievement automatically, so it cannot be missed. Opens after the completion of the storyline (twelfth chapter).

Curiosity killed the cat

Condition of receipt: put on a paper bag.

In the fourth chapter of "Slums", after talking with the first humanoid robot, whose name is the Guardian, go down the stairs to his left. There you will find a paper bag lying on the ground and leaning against wooden crates behind a red cat sign. Press the specified key/button to interact with it. Your cat will put a paper bag on his head and you will receive a trophy. A humanoid robot named Morusk also sits here (if you look at him with his face, the package is to his right).

In the ninth chapter "Roboshop", after the introductory video, go up the stairs to the left and look for two robots playing mahjong at the table on the left side. Just jump on the table to unlock the trophy.


Cat's best friend

Obtaining condition: rub against 5 robots.

As you progress through the game, rub against different robots. There is nothing difficult in this. For example:

  • In the fourth chapter, rub against the Keeper, two robots in the alley (standing with your back to the Keeper, go down the stairs, and turning into the alley on the left), and the designer-grandmother.
  • In the tenth chapter, there are 6 robots at once that you can rub against! Climb out of the subway and look into the corral on the right, where a lone robot is sitting. You can rub against it. After completely leaving the meters and taking a few steps, go behind the broken elevator on the left. There will be another robot there. Go down the street opposite and at the store on the right, you will see a robot in a white jacket. You can also rub yourself against two robots that sit in front of the only cafe in the city, in the very center. Another robot is a policeman, located at the energy barrier, next to the police car. In total, there are 10 robots in total, and you just need to rub against six of them.

I remember! (Secret achievement)

Acquisition Condition: Collect all B-12's memories.


Tele cat

Condition of receipt: watch all TV channels.

In the fourth chapter of "Slums", as part of the main storyline, you will find yourself in the apartment of Momo (a robot in a straw hat and a green shirt with a flamingo). The rooftops below Momo's apartment have a sofa and a TV. Jump on the couch and press the indicated key/button to interact with the remote and switch channels. Do this 7-8 times to get the desired achievement.
