There are several types of castles in the game, each of which requires a special approach.
Locked doors are a big part of the puzzles you will encounter in Atomic Heart. There are several different types of locks, each with their own unique mechanics that you need to know to unlock. We tell you how to open all the doors in Atomic Heart.
colored dots
This type of locks at Enterprise 3826 is quite common, and it is quite difficult to deal with such a puzzle. Each light bulb next to the protruding elements is painted in a specific color. You need to rotate the colored dots inside the castle, changing their positions using the bottom three slots so that the colors match up eventually. The easiest way to do this is to calculate the gap between the colored dots on the protruding elements of the lock, and then try to achieve the same gap between the inner dots by swapping them in the three lower slots. Even better is to adjust the lock so that at least one point matches, and edit the rest from it. If you don't like something, you can always move away from the castle and explore it again. The puzzle will reload and you will be given a completely different layout.
Cookie key lock
There is no special way to unlock the lock with a key. If you run into one of them, you need to search the environment and try to find a special cookie key somewhere nearby. Once you find it, return to the castle and you will automatically open it with this item.
Pattern lock
Patterned locks are the rarest type of lock in Atomic Heart and are therefore the hardest to pick. To do this, you need to find some kind of clue nearby - an image on a piece of paper, wall, floor or object, on which it is clearly clear which lights on the lock should be lit (which buttons should be pressed). It could be a note lying nearby. You may have to interrogate the talking corpse.
Blocking elements (temporarily)
Timer locks are by far the most common and simple type of door locks you will open in Atomic Heart. You need to win the mini-game within the allotted time. A red light is moving around. It can move clockwise or counterclockwise and moves faster with each successfully retracted element. Click LMB when the red light is on the protruding element to slide it into the lock. Continue until all elements are in place. If you click your fingers when the light is near the retracted element, it will return to its original position.
master key
A standard type of video game lock. All you have to do to open these doors is turn the lock and hold the LMB to see if it will open. To change the angle, simply move the gaming mouse.
