While surviving in Sons of the Forest, you can find many different items, each of which has its own purpose. In this guide, we will tell you how to find and use the turtle shell.
Where to find turtle shell
Finding a turtle shell is pretty easy. To do this, you need to explore the coast of the ocean. Turtles will often come out of the water - you just have to find and deal with one of them.
Most often, we met such animals in the northern part of the island, not far from the crash site of the first helicopter, and also in the western part - next to the boat, in which you can find the first beacon.
To do this, you need to use any weapon. You can use the starting ax or craft a primitive spear.Â
After you kill the turtle, a corresponding icon will appear above the carcass. Hold down the action key to butcher it. This will give you a turtle shell. Don't forget to also pick up a few pieces of meat.
Where is the shell in the inventory and how to use it
Each player can only have one turtle shell in their inventory. If you have already picked up a similar item, then the next time you pick it up, it will be thrown to the ground (just like any item that has run out of space in the inventory).
The shell can be tracked in the upper right part of the inventory, between the tarpaulin and the skulls. Players can even select it to have the hero pick up the item.
But at the moment we have not found a useful use for the shell. The developers promise to expand the game mechanics soon, so when there is new information about the purpose of the turtle shell in Sons of the Forest, we will update this guide in a timely manner.
