However, a meeting with him in the game can be either overshadowed or completely missed. Why save Minsk in Baldur's Gate 3

We have already noted that Minsk is a legendary character in the Baldur's Gate series. If you save him, you will at least get a cool new companion and camp dweller for your squad, as well as a huge piece of content that is very easy to miss.

Why save Jaheira

The bottom line is that if Jaheira dies during the second act for any reason, then, alas, it will not work to save Minsk - the game will not even provide such a chance.

At the beginning of the assault on the Moon Towers, there is an 80% chance that the Master Harpist will jump on the rampage and die there. Unfortunately, only loading the last save will help here, which we highly recommend doing before the start of the battle. Of course, you can try to shower Jaheira with healing potions and restorative spells. But since her artificial intelligence leaves much to be desired, it's easier to add a girl to your squad.

How to save Minsk

It is worth considering that you can do this not earlier than the third act. You will have to complete the quest of Kina Nine-fingered or go to the Accounts Chamber on your own, in which you need to go down to the lower floors, to the Vault. In the same location, you will find one of the passages to the sewers. You can also do this through manholes and sewer grates that are scattered throughout the city. How to solve the valve puzzle

In the sewers there is a location called "Abandoned Cistern" - that's where you need to go. When you get to this place, you will come across a closed door, three valves and a sluice valve that requires you to pass the Athletics check. We did not pass it, so we had to solve everything with the help of logic.

The bottom line is that one of the valves raises the temperature, the second - the water level, and the third generally resets everything to zero. You need to ensure that the "Ideal temperature" and "Ideal water level" icons on the first two simultaneously light up. This can be done if you first start the water, wait a couple of seconds, and unscrew the heat.

How to fight Minsk

The slogan of this battle is "Forget everything you knew before!". And be sure to take Jaheira with you. In no case should you allow the death of Minsk, and at the same time it is necessary that all other enemies near him die. We recommend that you do not even skimp on treatment for a healthy man, because it is very important that he survive.

When there are much fewer enemies and only Minsk remains against you, you should switch to non-lethal attacks. You can do this in the passive skills menu on the bottom panel. This button is slightly lower than all of your normal attacks. By the way, when Minsk's health approaches zero, forget about the existence of casters in your squad - you will only have to hit with your hands.

If you do everything right, as a result, he will simply fall into a knockout, and you will have a cutscene in which the Emperor will try to say nonsense in every possible way. You need to stand firm on your own, and thanks to the fact that you took Jaheira to the squad, everything will work out.
