 These are all the techniques that you can unlock in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Learn to make the most of them to spread panic among enemies in a matter of seconds.

In addition to the abilities that allow Peter and Miles to get new movements or improve existing ones, in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you can also use the so-called techniques, unique and different abilities for your two protagonists and that are used by pressing L1+another button depending on of the technique to use.


There are cases in which the techniques are incompatible with each other, and you will have to choose between using one or the other. In these cases, the skill occupies the same technique slot and you must press the select button on the slot to choose between one or the other.


Peter Parker Techniques

Spider-barrade

  • It is available from the beginning.
  • Unleashes a series of spider-arm attacks that deal damage to an enemy.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Symbiote Punch, Anti-Venom Punch, and Anti-Venom Bomb.


Spider-whiplash

  • Unlocks automatically during Surface Tension, unlocking is required.
  • Lift enemies into the air. Can be used against enemy gorillas.
  • Use with L1+X.
  • Incompatible with Symbiote Pull, Anti-Venom Pull, and Anti-Venom Tempest.

Spider-career

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • You propel yourself forward and damage the enemies you encounter along the way.
  • Use with L1+Triangle.
  • Incompatible with Symbiote Strike and Anti-Venom Strike.

Spider-shock

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • Shocks enemies with electric web cables, leaving them vulnerable to attacks.
  • Use with L1+Circle.
  • Incompatible with Symbiote Burst and Anti-Venom Burst.

Symbiote Punch

  • Automatically unlocked during Good Men.
  • Performs a tentacle punch that knocks enemies back and can leave them stuck to walls or floors.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Spider-barrade.

Symbiote Strike

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • Strikes towards enemies, gathering them together and launching them into the air.
  • Use with L1+Triangle.
  • Incompatible with Spider-race.

Symbiote Pull

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • Grab several enemies to pull them towards you.
  • Use with L1+X.
  • Incompatible with Spider-whiplash.

Symbiote Burst

  • Obtained automatically during Stay Positive.
  • Throw symbiote spikes in all directions to damage and knock enemies back.
  • Use with L1+Circle.
  • Incompatible with Spider-shock.

Anti-Venom Bomb

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Launches a volatile symbiote projectile that explodes on contact, damaging all enemies within its range.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Spider-Savage and Anti-Venom Punch.

Anti-Venom Punch

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Performs a tentacle punch that knocks enemies back and can leave them stuck to walls or floors.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Spider-Barrade and Anti-Venom Bomb.

Anti-Venom Strike

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Launch yourself into the air and kill enemies when you land.
  • Use with L1+Triangle.
  • Incompatible with Spider-race.

Anti-Venom Flip

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Grab several enemies to pull them towards you.
  • Use with L1+X.
  • Incompatible with Spider-whiplash and Tempest Anti-Venom.

Anti-Venom Burst

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Throw symbiote spikes in all directions to damage and knock enemies back.
  • Use with L1+Circle.
  • Incompatible with Spider-shock.

Anti-Venom Tempest

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Unleashes a series of damaging symbiote tentacles that lift nearby enemies into the air.
  • Use with L1+X.
  • Incompatible with Spider-Lash and Anti-Venom Flip.

poison fist

  • It is available from the beginning.
  • A devastating bioelectric punch. Applies poison stun to the main target and any enemies behind it.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Chain Lightning.

chain lightning

  • Obtained during Not If I Can Help It.
  • Attacks an enemy with a lightning bolt that chains with two other enemies.
  • Use with L1+Square.
  • Incompatible with Poison Fist.

Poison crushes

  • It is available from the beginning.
  • Smashes the ground with a poison-powered punch at nearby enemies, knocking them back.
  • Use with L1+Circle.
  • Incompatible with Reverse Flow.

poison race

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • Run towards an enemy and knock them back with a burst of poison.
  • Use with L1+Triangle.
  • Incompatible with Thunderous Impact.

Thunderous impact

  • Obtained during Master Illusionist.
  • Instantly hit distant targets and land with a burst of evolved poison that knocks back a group of enemies.
  • Use with L1+Triangle.
  • Incompatible with Poison Rush.

poison jump

  • Unlocked in skills.
  • Press L1+X to blow up all nearby enemies and apply poison stun to them.
  • Use with L1+X.

Reverse flow

  • Unlocked during No Escape.
  • Releases a pulse of evolved poison energy that attracts enemies.
  • Use with L1+Circle.
  • Incompatible with Poison Crushes.

Galvanize

  • Obtained during Fixing Things.
  • Throw an enemy and electrocute them along with nearby enemies. Attack an enemy in the air to release more lightning bolts.
  • Use with L1+X.
  • Incompatible with Venom Leap.
