Sims 5 multiplayer, will we be able to play with our friends?

 The Sims 5 is one of the most anticipated games in the years to come, but is a multiplayer mode planned? We give you the answer.

In the years to come, many titles are expected by players such as the next game Mass Effect, Dragon Age 4: Dreadwolf, or even The Elder Scrolls 6  which are all well-known licenses.

Another license will be entitled to a new game, namely The Sims. Electronic Arts and Maxis are currently working on Project Rene which is rumored to be The Sims 5. Some people are also wondering if a multiplayer mode is planned among the new titles and we will give you the answer.

Will The Sims 5 be a multiplayer game?

If like some Sims fans, you're wondering if multiplayer or at least co-op mode is planned for The Sims 5, well, the answer is yes. Maxis and EA have already delivered the information a few months ago, in January 2023, and here is what was said by Grant Rodiek, director of the game on the subject:

We must not forget that Project Rene is not an MMO [...] It is not a public and shared space where everything you do is always done with other people. You can just as easily play alone, as you wish, and whenever you want, you can invite other people to come and play with you . This is the structure we're looking for, and we think it's really cool and perfect for The Sims.

It was also specified that you can set up rules to avoid excesses that would modify your previous creations or harm other players.
