Spider-Man 2: How do you change characters? Can you play with story characters again?

These are all the controllable characters in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and what you need to do to switch between them. We warn of possible spoilers in this section.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2, not surprisingly, has more than one controllable character. Peter and Miles are the absolute protagonists of the story, but are there more controllable characters? Well, this is an answer that involves certain spoilers, so in this section, we will talk about how many characters there are and if you can play with them again whenever you want.

How to switch characters between Peter and Miles

You'll be able to switch between Peter and Miles at any point in the game (as long as you're not on a story mission). To do this, all you have to do is open the TAYVSM app (from the pause menu or by swiping left on the touchpad).

Once there, you can see how one of the options is to Switch to Miles/Peter by holding down the Square button. It can be done at any time as long as the option is not blocked for argumentative reasons, without further limitations of any kind.

How many controllable characters are there in total?

We warn that spoilers begin. You won't encounter them right away, but you will in the next section, so it's important to keep in mind that we're doing everything we can to save you from them. If you continue reading, do so at your own risk, we will not say more.

There are a total of 5 controllable characters including Peter and Miles. It's your last chance to turn around before encountering inevitable spoilers. We recommend waiting until you have finished the game's 31-story missions before continuing.

Spoiler characters, how to play with them and control them again

As we have said, there are a total of 5 controllable characters. We have Peter, Miles, MJ, Hailey, and Venom. Each of them is controllable during certain sections of the game, apart from the two main protagonists, who you can control at all times except for specific plot blocks.
