The best weapons in Tower of Fantasy

List of all available weapons, stats, abilities, ultimate, upgrade

Tower of Fantasy is an action role-playing game designed to compete with the popular Genshin Impact. One of the most important aspects of this genre of games is the weapons. In this guide, we will talk about all types of weapons, their characteristics, skills, improvement process, and so on.

Getting new sims is cool, but they're just avatars/skins. You will achieve the best results by unlocking new types of weapons or improving the options already available. From fast dual blades and healing staves to powerful claymores and heavy shields. On the one hand, a wide variety of weapons makes the gameplay interesting, on the other hand, it complicates the game as much as possible, so it is important to understand what characteristics and weapon skills exist, what to do to improve it, and so on.

Basic information on weapons in Tower of Fantasy

As mentioned above, weapons in Tower of Fantasy work a little differently than in other games, especially when it comes to some kind of gacha. Instead of getting characters, each of which belongs to certain classes and has its own roles, you get access to a large arsenal of weapons, each of which has its own abilities, characteristics, and bonuses. At the beginning of the game, you can only equip two weapons at a time, but this will be increased to three later.

Weapons are divided into three ranks or qualities - R, SR, and SSR, with the R weapon being the most common and not tied to any of the simulacra. But weapons rank SR can only be obtained with the help of a specific simulacrum and its banner. The same goes for the maximum rank weapon, the SSR.

Total weapon combat power (CS)

  • Shatter The weapon's primary ability to break shields. The higher the value, the faster the weapon will break the target's shields. Enemies with shields block 50% of the damage taken, so you need to destroy them as soon as possible. In PVP, shielded wanderers are immune to crowd control effects, and their damage taken is reduced by 30%. But once you break an enemy shield, the enemy will be stunned for three seconds.
  • Charge: How fast the weapon charges. The higher the value of this parameter, the faster the charge of the weapon accumulates. You can use the weapon's Discharge skill only after the charge level rises to 1000 units. In PvP, 22.5% of the charge is converted into your shield.

  • Type (Type): each weapon has a type of damage - ice shell, volt, flame or grievous.
  • Primary Skill: Each weapon has an active ability with a cooldown.
  • Discharge: When you reach the full charge of a weapon (Charge) or activate the Fantasy stage by dodging an incoming powerful attack, when you switch to a weapon, you activate Discharge. When activated, Strike Attacks remove all debuffs and use a powerful move unique to the weapon you switch to.

What types of weapons/damage are there

Every weapon has a damage type. There are currently four types:

  • Ice Shell: When the weapon is fully charged, it freezes the target for 2 seconds, while the frostbite effect lasts for 6 seconds. If you break the ice shell that covers the target, you will deal additional damage equal to the set percentage of attack. During frostbite, the target's weapon charge speed is reduced.
  • Volt: When the weapon is fully charged, your next attack will paralyze targets for one second and leave them electrified for 6 seconds. All positive effects will be nullified, and you will deal damage equal to the set percentage of attack. Targets cannot receive any buffs for the next 6 seconds.
  • Flame: When the weapon is fully charged, your next attack sets the target on fire for 8 seconds, dealing constant damage every second equal to the set percentage of attack. Decreases healing efficiency on burning targets.

  • Grievous: When the weapon is fully charged, your next attack deals damage equal to the set percentage of attack, applying the corresponding effect to the target for 7 seconds. Such targets take increased damage.

What are resonant weapon effects

While there are no set roles, classes, or anything like that in Tower of Fantasy, you can get certain bonuses depending on which weapons you equip. Weapons can be defensive, with an emphasis on DPS or support. It all depends on the available ability. You can tell which subtype a weapon belongs to by looking at the icons on the weapon's description page.

The bonuses you get from different types of weapons are called "Weapon Resonance Effects". Here are all the bonuses you can get:

  • Balance: You must have no more than one weapon of each type. Increases final damage and reduces damage taken by 5%, and damage and healing effects are increased by 20%. In a team game, increases the resulting damage and reduces the received by 20%.

How to upgrade weapons in Tower of Fantasy?

To upgrade weapons, you will need certain materials. Standard materials are weapon batteries. They come in different levels, with the highest levels offering more weapon experience. You can get batteries by completing quests or buy them from the weapon shop.

How to upgrade weapons in Tower of Fantasy?

When your weapon reaches the maximum level, various materials are required to "upgrade" it and remove the limitation. Usually this:

  • Elemental Ores: Can be obtained from the gacha, weapon shop, or by processing elemental and crystal ores found in the game world. You can also use elemental ore chests, which allow you to choose the type of ore you want.
  • Glazes and Frames: Can be obtained as random loot from chests, as rewards from Interstellar Exploration, Dimensional Challenges, or Omnium Beacons, or from the weapon shop. You can also use chests to upgrade weapons by choosing a specific type.

In addition to general upgrades and upgrades to your weapons, you can also upgrade your SR and SSR weapons. To do this, you will need a fusion core specifically designed for the weapon you want to upgrade. Such cores can be obtained in the presence of several identical simulacra, using gacha elements, or in a weapon shop.

You can upgrade your weapon to six stars, with each upgrade granting a specific bonus unique to the weapon.

What weapon is better?

As a general rule, SSR-grade weapons almost always outperform SR weapons due to their higher base power and stats. Luckily, most SSR weapons have SR counterparts or R-ranks with similar (albeit toned down) abilities, so you can use these weapons until you can get a more powerful SSR. There is no single answer to the question of which weapon in Tower of Fantasy is better.
