Blizzcon 2023 is coming, and with it a whole battery of announcements. World of Warcraft had the right to Cataclysm for the sequel to Classic.
Blizzcon is here and we have a lot to discover for the return of the famous Blizzard physics conference, directly in California. This conference has been an opportunity for many years for the studio to make its biggest announcements, and we expect a lot of new stuff in 2023.
The next expansion of World of Warcraft is a very important point in the future of Blizzard, especially when the latter will arrive at the 20th anniversary of the game. But the future of World of Warcraft Classic is also very important, and this version of the game will continue with Cataclysm.
Cataclysm, the next expansion for World of Warcraft Classic
The “new” expansion for World of Warcraft Classic will therefore be Cataclysm. Even if this extension is not really new, it marks a change in the World of Warcraft license, with a return to Azeroth and especially the end of the legacy of Warcraft 3 which was used a lot, and sometimes excessively, in World of Warcraft Burning Crusade and World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King. For the moment we do not have a precise release date.
In this expansion, we are going to have a lot of class changes , with gameplay that will be more dynamic and will offer more mobility options for many classes and for others to change, correct and improve the functioning of resources, such as rage, combo points or even soul fragments.
In addition to these changes, there will of course be lots of new raids , new zones and the famous change of the whole old world . The old world will be enormously changed by the Cataclysm, which does not necessarily please many worlds. However, the new instances and the first tier of raids are known to be very good.
