How to get your hands on the Rot ammo mod?
The Rot ammo mod, like Cryogenics, is not that easy to find. It falls randomly in Aether Caches or contracts that can be found everywhere in Urzikstan. However, the drop in ammo mods is much more favorable in Aether caches.
Although there are caches all over the map, there is no way of knowing where they are, as their position is not fixed. However, there are two places where these hide: zombie-related events. Many Aether caches are indeed protected by zombies and cysts in infected Fortresses. Others can be found in Aether Nests but in much smaller quantities. These are the points of interest you need to head to to try to get your hands on one.
How to unlock Ether caches?
When you arrive at the Aether Nests or Infected Fortresses, you will notice that the caches are not available. They are blocked by essence crystals.
To break the protection of these chests, all you need to do is destroy all the cysts in the infrastructure hosting the event. You won't be able to miss them: they are hung on the walls and ceilings of the building that is hosting the event and are a fairly bright yellow color.
