Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is a game from Ubisoft that was released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna on Thursday, December 7, 2023. This game is highly anticipated, one which is an adaptation of the most profitable films in the history of the world box office.

As we wrote, the game is playable in local coop, online coop as well and multiplayer between players. Also, the latter wonder if multiplayer is available between the different media on which the game was released between PC and consoles in particular. We will therefore, in this article, give you the answer to this very specific question.

Can Avatar Frontiers of Pandora be played in cross-platform co-op?

Despite the lack of communication from Ubisoft regarding multiplayer features, we can tell you that the game will indeed be playable in cross-platform coop. So understand that you can play on PC with a friend who is on PlayStation 5 for example. However, you will only be able to play with a maximum of two people online, not one more.

Also, as you will see below, the game also shows that you will have to play a part of the main story in order to unlock the co-op mode, which will therefore not be available from the launch of the game. As indicated, you will have to complete the quest of the Aranahe clan in order to unlock this feature.

It is also specified on the page dedicated to Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on the PlayStation Store that the game will be playable in coop (with a maximum of two people) online but, the game does not seem to offer a local service where you can play with two different controllers on the same game.

You will especially need to have two different games so that you can play with your friend or significant other. Obviously, you will need to be subscribed to the PlayStation Plus service if you play on PS5 and to  Xbox Game Pass Core on Xbox Series X|S. It is worth noting that the cooperative mode is limited to two players  and the game is meant to be primarily played solo.
