Fortnite has long been known for its Marvel crossovers, and Chapter 5 Season 4 brings the universe back into the spotlight. This season, Doctor Doom is the main antagonist, and the Avengers' War Machine is teaming up to confront him. To fight successfully, you'll need powerful weapons, including Captain America's shield. In this guide, we'll tell you how to get it.
Captain America's Shield first appeared in Season 8, which launched in February 2019. Initially, the item was exclusive to just one mode, but it is now available in Battle Royale with some changes.
Where to Find and How to Get Captain America's Shield in Fortnite
The easiest way to get Captain America's shield in Fortnite is to find and talk to the NPC Captain Jones, who will sell you the weapon for 200 gold bars. He is located at the Ship It! Station landmark northwest of the Nitrodrome arena.
Note: Gold Bars reset at the start of a new season, so you may be short of this currency right now. You can earn Gold Bars by eliminating opponents or looting safes, but the best way is to visit weapon storages mid-match.
Another effective way to get Captain America's shield is to search Avengers Chests, which are wide silver boxes with the Avengers logo on top. When opened, they always provide one of the unique items. Of course, the shield can also drop from regular chests, but the chances are very small.
