How to Unlock All Secret Locations in Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong is a soulslike action RPG based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Like FromSoftware's titles, this game has hidden locations that are easy to miss. Find out how to find secret places in the open world of Wukong in our guide.

Hidden locations will be found in the first, second and fourth chapters of the main story. Each of them has a very strong boss, the battle with which is a real challenge. If you missed one of the secret places, you can return to it through the Guardians' shrines. And if you have already killed the main villain, select the "Continue" option to return to the open world of Wukong. The main thing is not to use the "Enter a New Cycle" option in the main menu. This will start a "New Game +" and overwrite the current save.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

This location can be opened in the very first chapter. You need to ring three bells.

First Bell: In the Forest of Wolves, find a fast travel point called Outside the Forest.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

From there, run along the left path to the wooden bridge, and then move along the road that is lit by torches. This way, you will reach the arena, where the boss Guangzhi will be waiting for you. He looks like a wolf with a staff. Defeat him and ring the bell.

Second bell: In Bamboo Grove you need the Snake Trail teleport point.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

Facing the shrine, turn left, cross the rocks and go down to the river. On the right, you will see a path that leads to a bamboo forest. Follow the paved road to the very end. It will lead you to a boss named Guanmou. After defeating them, interact with the bell.

Third Bell: In the same Bamboo Grove, find a fast travel point called Marsh of White Mist.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

Access to it will open after defeating the boss Whiteclad Noble. Move along the left path until you see a large cave. There is another bell there.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

After you ring all three bells, you will be teleported to a new location called Ancient Guanyin Temple.

Ancient Guanyin Temple

Defeat Elder Jinchi and then examine the body hanging nearby to obtain the Vessel Fireproof Mantle. This will help you in the fight with the final boss of the first chapter, where you will have to defend yourself from his flames.

Kingdom of Sahali

In the second chapter you will meet a drunken boar. It is located at the location Fright Cliff, near the Rockrest Flat shrine.

Kingdom of Sahali

From there, you need to move straight ahead to a small meadow. There sits an animal that wants to sober up. In order to get to the secret area, you need to complete its quest line.

Kingdom of Sahali

After talking to the boar, head to the Yellow Wind Formation. You need a teleportation point called Windrest Bridge.

Kingdom of Sahali

Run to the other side and turn left, towards the houses. Go into the building on the right and find a gold barrel there. Break it and take the Sobering Stone.

Kingdom of Sahali

Take it to the boar and talk to him. It is important to hear everything he says. Scroll through the dialogues until they start repeating themselves.

Then head to the Crouching Tiger Temple. You want a shrine called Temple Entrance.

Kingdom of Sahali

In the shop, buy a Jade Lotus. Go up the stairs and turn into the second passage on the right. There you will meet the drunk animal again. Give him the flower and talk about all the available topics.

Kingdom of Sahali

Return to the place where you first met the boar. There you will meet a squire in a yellow robe (Yellow-Robed Squire). Defeat him, and then follow the drunkard to the large gate. This will take you to the secret location of the Sahali Kingdom.

Your goal is to reach the top of the cliff where the man is standing. Talk to the guy and then defeat the boss named Fuban. Defeating him will reward you with the Wind Tamer, a special weapon that is extremely useful against flying bosses.

Purple Cloud Mountain

To get to this secret area, you need to defeat the Venom Daoist. To do this, head to the Webbed Hollow location, to the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine.

Purple Cloud Mountain

Move along the path until you see a spider cocoon. Hit it. After that, a boss will appear that you need to fight. However, you won’t be able to defeat him, because he will run away.

To find the monster again, use the Court of Illumination teleport point, which is located in the Temple of the Yellow Flower.

Purple Cloud Mountain

From the shrine, turn back and run along the path. At the fork, turn left and move on until you see a cutscene with the boss. Kill him completely, then interact with the wall that is behind him.

This will take you to Purple Cloud Mountain. There are two bosses waiting for you there. The Scorpionlord is hiding to the right of the entrance, and the Duskveil is at the top.
