How do I tag enemies and objects in Cyberpunk 2077?

In Cyberpunk 2077, it is very important to control what is happening around your characters. Thanks to this, you will always know where the enemies or objects of interest are, which, in turn, will make it easier to plan your next actions. In this chapter, we explain how to use the scanner to mark enemies and interactive objects.

To mark an enemy, you can simply aim at them. A characteristic arrow  will appear above his head , thanks to which you can see him, for example, from behind cover. However, this mark is not permanent - it will disappear if the enemy stays behind your eyes for a long time, when you move away or turn the camera too much.

Instead, you can use tags when scanning. First, you need to launch the scanner while holding the TAB key (L1 and LB for PlayStation and Xbox consoles). Then set the crosshair on the enemy, wait until his silhouette becomes sharper, and press the middle mouse button (R3 for consoles). Thus, a marker icon will appear above the enemy's head with two arrows on the sides that will stay on the target for much longer. Similarly, you can mark other objects, such as cameras or terminals, with which you can interact.

Try using this mechanic, especially when fighting inside buildings - this way you will see enemies and dangerous objects through walls.

How do I highlight items?

Scattered throughout the world of Cyberpunk 2077 are countless items for you to collect. However, they are often difficult to track down because they blend in with their surroundings or get stuck under a corpse.

A simple solution to this problem is to use a scanner by holding the TAB key (L1 and LB in the case of Sony and Microsoft consoles). During scanning, adjacent objects are highlighted. They will be visible even if they lie behind an obstacle or under a corpse.

This method is also useful for finding chests and containers in which treasures can be hidden. So, if you're walking through a new area, especially if it's a closed building, or you've just finished fighting enemies, use scan regularly. Thanks to this, you can be sure not to miss a single item, Eurodollars or ammunition.
