In the latest 15.30 update for Fortnite , three new exotic weapons came into play: the Burst Quad Launcher, the Chug Cannon and the Frozen SMG. OkayGotcha tells you what the weapons can do and where you can find them.
What kind of weapons are these? The three new exotic weapons are one of the most important changes in the latest update 15.30 from February 2, 2021 in Fortnite. The weapons are:
- the Burst Quad Launcher, a powerful but slow rocket launcher
- the Chug Cannon, with which you can heal yourself and friends
- the Frozen SMG, a submachine gun that is not yet available in the game
Burst Quad Launcher in Fortnite
The launcher can do that: The rocket launcher has four rockets ready in its magazine that you can fire with it. The Quad Launcher fires two rockets in quick succession with each shot.
With 42 damage to players, it hits properly, but with 5.4 seconds it also takes a long time to reload. It's best to use it to open a fight or tear down structures and then switch to faster weapons for the encounter.
Where can i find him? For the Quad Launcher you have to talk to the NPC Fishstick and buy the rocket launcher from him. The weapon costs 600 gold bars. So make sure to have the required amount in your inventory beforehand. Fishstick can appear in two positions on the map:
- at the Craggy Cliffs Hotel
- or in Choral Castle
If you are not lucky in the first position, you have to go to the second. Fortunately, they are quite close to each other. Look for Fishstick there and talk to him. Select the option for the rocket launcher, confirm the selection and you hold the Burst Quad Launcher in your hands.
Chug Cannon in Fortnite
The cannon can do that: The Chug Cannon works similarly to the bandage bazooka from Chapter 2 of Fortnite. With her you can shoot friends or yourself to heal you for 18 hit points. The weapon does not use any real ammunition (it can be automatically recharged after a waiting period) and can be reloaded very quickly, which can make it a valuable tool in longer fights, especially in squads.
Where can I find them? You can buy the Chug Cannon from NPC Recovery. Like the Burst Quad Launcher, it costs 600 gold bars - so take plenty of them with you. Recovery can also spawn in two locations on the map:
- in Craggy Cliffs
- and at Hilltop House
These positions are even closer together than Craggy Cliffs and Choral Castle, so there is only a short distance to go if you don't find recovery immediately. Talk to her and choose the option to purchase from her to receive the Chug Cannon.
Frozen SMG in Fortnite
What the SMG can do: With 20 damage per shot, a high rate of fire and a magazine size of 35, the Frozen SMG is a solid option for battles against players. It uses light ammunition and can be reloaded in 2.1 seconds. If you are reasonably accurate, you should be able to kill one or even several opponents with a magazine without any problems.
Where can I find them? The submachine gun was already found in the game data and came with the patch, but is not yet available in the game itself. We will add its location here as soon as it is available.
