Game world Valheim is full of mysterious things. However, no matter how and in what world your adventure is built, you can always find a merchant. This guide is all about how to find it.
The dwarven merchant is called Haldor. He offers various goods for purchase, and will also be very happy to buy valuable items that you have accumulated during your research.
If you want to find it yourself, there are some small tips that work independently of the procedurally generated worlds.
- As soon as you find yourself at a distance of 1000 km from the merchant, he will appear on the map in the form of a silver money bag;
- Haldor only appears in the Black Forest;
- Scout the coastlines as the merchant is usually located near the coast;
- Haldor has a fire, which is especially useful at night;
- He rarely, if ever, is on the starting island.
If you want to skip all of this, create a new world in the menu. Select "Merchant" under the seed. So in your world there will definitely be a merchant not far from you.
Either way, you'll need a ship to get to it.
Haldor sells his goods for gold coins. Coins can be picked up from enemies, in dungeons (for example, in those where you find iron) and from other sources. Also, the merchant will gladly buy amber and rubies from you.
Create a portal near Haldor so you can quickly reach it from your home base .
A small price list of what can be found at the merchant:
- Yule Hat - 100 (similar to Santa's hat)
- Dverger's Hoop - 620 (creates light without the use of third-party objects);
- Megingyrd - 950 (increases the maximum carryable weight by 150 points);
- Ymir's Flesh - 120 (item for making a hammer);
- Fishing rod - 350 (used for fishing);
- Fishing bait x50 - 10 (used for fishing).
