In Valheim has tons of places to explore, many of which are far from your already built bases, often leading to long journeys. How to build a windmill
Ability to create a windmill opens after defeating the boss of the Mountain Biome (Mountains biome) - Mouderom (Moder). This is due to the fact that only after this becomes available the possibility of creating a Craft Table (Artisan Table), which is necessary to create a windmill. The windmill must be built within the radius of the crafting table, making it a must. But you can easily remove it after that, and the windmill will still run normally.
For the crafting table, you need two Dragon tears and ten Wood. The Tear of the Dragon can be obtained from the Mouder boss. Once you have access to the crafting table, you can immediately build a windmill.
This requires 20 Stone, 30 Wood and 30 Iron nails. To make iron nails, you need to get tin (Tin) and copper (Copper), and then melt them into bronze (bronze). This requires a Forge and a smelter.
How to make barley flour in a mill
Windmills only work when the wind is blowing and the barley processing speed is dependent on the wind speed, which means a large volume can be processed quickly during a storm. Because of how volatile the wind can be, it can be helpful to build multiple windmills to take advantage of the wind when it blows hard.

What can be made from barley flour

A windmill of 50 barley will make 20 flour. Most of the recipes listed above require 1-4 flour for each meal.
Where to find barley
You can get barley by harvesting it in the plains biome. You can also find flax in the same villages, they are very similar in appearance. The fulings that inhabit these villages are dangerous foes, so we recommend bringing only the best weapons and armor with you . You can grow barley using seeds and row cultivation.
