This is the incredible BioShock mod from Half-Life: Alyx, which already offers a full campaign

 

Return to Rapture for Half-Life Alyx was born as a mod for Valve's VR game inspired by BioShock, but now this has been turned into a full campaign game experience.

At first, it was just a mod for Half-Life: Alyx with which it was intended to move, a bit, the BioShock universe to Valve's virtual reality world. Now, that project has not only evolved enormously, it has even become a totally new experience complete with history.

What does this mean to us? Well, now you can enjoy the story of BioShock in virtual reality through Half-Life: Alyx. Wim Buytaert's Return to Rapture is an eight-part story that revisits the dystopian city of Rapture with a fresh perspective with a hybrid VR remake/remix campaign.

This project is impressive since while many game resources were tweaked in the demo, Buytaert himself has commented that the new campaign uses up to 200 assets from the real game, it has permission from its creators. Now the mod has zones that can be used, like Circus of Values or the Little Sisters machines, fully usable in VR.

If this were not enough, for the project they have hired professional voice actors to help in the immersion of the story, in which Alyx can be seen crashing at the entrance to Rapture; and that is by no means all it will offer.
