Today Evangelion opens in Japan: 3.0 + 1.0, the new installment of the saga

Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0, the latest film in the Rebuild of Evangelion saga that continues and closes the plot of the Hideaki Anno series, has finally been released in Japan.

As you already know, the Coronavirus has taken away a good number of premieres scheduled for 2020, which either ended up going to streaming platforms, came out months late or have been stuck in limbo waiting for the situation to improve. for movie theaters. One of the films that has been affected by the situation was  Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 , the fourth film in the Rebuild of Evangelion saga .


The film Hideaki Anno is loaded with much anticipation, as the previous installment of the series, Evangelion 3: 0: You Can (Not) Redo premiered back in 2012 and left the fans full of expectations and wanting more.

The wait has been long and full of unforeseen events and delays, but  Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 has finally been released in theaters in Japan . The film is expected to close out the film saga and the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime  , although we are still awaiting possible fan reactions.


It is not yet known when the film will be available in theaters in our country, but it is possible that it will arrive sometime during 2021. Meanwhile, the first 12 minutes of the film have been seen in streaming through the channels YouTube from Amazon Prime Video and Studio Ghara, as announced by the official Evangelion account on social networks.

The Evangelion saga is set in a futuristic world in which the paramilitary organization known as NERV protects humanity from "angels", beings of unknown origin and nature. To do this, they use humanoid mechs called EVAs. Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 is co-directed and written by Hideaki Anno and the voices in original version of Megumi Ogata, Megumi Hayashibara and Yuko Miyamura .
