YouTuber gets its own skin in Fortnite

The YouTuber LazarBeam gets his own skin in  Fortnite . In the live stream that was supposed to reveal the new skin, internet problems caused the stream to be interrupted.

What kind of skin is that? As part of the icon series, various content creators get their own skin in Fortnite. They each look like the YouTubers or streamers and have special characteristics that make them stand out.

So far, 4 Fortnite stars have got their own skin:

  • Ninja made the start and received its skin  on January 15, 2020
  • Then streamer Loserfruit got her own outfit in the game on June 22, 2020
  • On November 8, 2020, YouTuber Lachlan's skin appeared in the item shop after winning  it in a tournament
  • The last one to join the skin group on January 16, 2021 is GrefG. With his  announcement about the skin, he even broke a Twitch record .
Now the 5th skin is known, which is dedicated to a Fortnite star. YouTuber LazarBeam, who has over 18 million followers on YouTube, joins the others and gets his own set, which was presented on March 1st.

Reveal is being terminated by internet problems

This is how the reveal of the skin went: LazarBeam wanted to announce its skin live and started a live stream on YouTube. During the 2-hour stream, the number of viewers rose to almost 150,000, but that probably triggered a crash, as the YouTuber announced on Twitter: "My internet connection went down on the biggest day of my Fortnite career."

The YouTuber further commented that he “had no internet problems for 12 months and then that's exactly what happens”. But LazarBeam thanked his fans for all the support and love with his skin reveal.

But it didn't stop there, because the YouTuber posted a video in which he introduces his skin and tells what his inspiration was for the design. He wants to honor his roots as an Australian construction worker and keep them in Fortnite. The video has now reached 6 million views.
