LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga delayed again, no longer coming out in spring

TT Games announces a new delay for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which will no longer be released in the spring. They need more time to make "the biggest and best LEGO game to date."

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga looks like the biggest and most ambitious LEGO game ever ... and maybe that's why it's taking so long to develop. Originally announced for 2020, last summer it was announced its delay to spring 2021... but it will not be able to reach that date either.

On Twitter, TT Games announces that they will need more time to finish the game, and therefore it will not be released in the spring . They have not given any other guidance date (to avoid having to change it a third time if they do not arrive), but they promise to offer a launch window as soon as possible.

TT Games emphasizes that they want to make the biggest and best LEGO game , and the occasion certainly deserves it. The Skywalker Saga will run through all nine episodes of the saga, from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker . The first six episodes were already covered in the first LEGO Star Wars games, fifteen years ago, so they will have been reluctant this time.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga will have more than 300 playable characters , space battles and a new system close to the shooter, many playable novelties that will take it away from previous LEGO games in terms of innovation.

In fact, it's never been so long without a LEGO game , not counting re-releases (it's been more than two years since the last game, The LEGO Movie 2, in February 2019). Hopefully the Skywalkers can arrive in 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
