Rumor: Resident Evil Showcase to reveal VR related news

 

Rumor: We could have a VR ad at the Resident Evil Showcase, as the content director at Oculus has retweeted today's presentation.

Tonight (specifically, at 00:00 on April 16 , that is, the night from Thursday to Friday) there will be a new Resident Evil Showcase , a presentation focused on Resident Evil Village and other news about the Capcom series. Although the bulk of the event will be made up of the Village, whose launch is just around the corner (in three weeks), other news is expected.

And one of those news could have to do with virtual reality, because the content director of Oculus , Chris Pruett, has retweeted the tweet with the announcement of the event (this one, specifically), as reported from  The Gamer.

Of course, it could have nothing to do with it, although this particular interest from the Oculus content director in the Resident Evil presentation could mean that there are announcements about a Resident Evil game or experience in VR.

In fact, there was already a leak that could corroborate it, so you might want to stop reading if you don't want to miss the surprise tonight, watch out for spoilers!

It may be Resident Evil 4 VR. A few months ago, a massive file leak at Capcom revealed that Resident Evil 4 was in development for Oculus VR .

Precisely, Oculus will hold its first event focused on video games next week, on Wednesday, April 21, Oculus Gaming Showcase  (at 00:00 on April 22 in Spain). In this one you will see more games like Pistol Whip or Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge , and other surprises. If Resident Evil 4 VR is announced today, it will likely be seen in more detail at next week's Oculus event.
