Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero - game guide

Detailed walkthrough of Subnautica Below Zero: how to get the Sailor, Polar Fox, Sea Glider, all blueprints, the CRAB suit, where to find parts for the Al-Ana vessel and much more

During the passage of Subnautica: Below Zero, you play as Robin Iya, an employee of Xenovorks Alterra, who is secretly sent to the planet 4546B from her employer. Her mission is to investigate the causes of death of Sam's sister IU.

It all starts with a bad landing on the planet. The shuttle Robin crashes, there are traces of meteor shower everywhere. After the introductory video, you will be able to control the main character. There are supplies on the ground - collect them. it will be 3 bottles of filtered water, 3 blocks of nutrients and 9 flares. When traveling on the surface of the planet, keep an eye on your body temperature. If there are hints of hypothermia, keep warm with thermal lilies (with red petals) or burning debris from the shuttle. Head to the water and swim to the landing pod.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero - game guide

This path will lead you to the main gameplay area - Sector Zero or Zero. The exact biome of your location is Winding Bridge Shoals. By this time, the scale of your health will be approximately half full. Hunger and thirst are the two main threats that you will have to constantly contend with. To satisfy her hunger, Robin must eat cooked fish. You can prepare it from any fish caught at the manufacturer. You can also eat dried fish made from regular fish and salt deposits. And for thirst, you will have to drink filtered water, which can be created with the help of a bubble fish.

You should also pay attention to the health scale, which regulates how much damage you can take before dying. You will receive damage from predatory fauna or flora, although damage can be obtained from falling or burning. First aid kits are needed for treatment, although health will be restored automatically if you eat or drink. Finally, there are two more indicators - oxygen and temperature. Oxygen is depleted slowly, at a rate of 1 unit per second (if the depth is not lower than 100 meters and you do not have a rebreather) under water and at bases or in vehicles without a power source. The temperature drops outside the water, in any cold environment. Please note that the rate of temperature decrease depends on the current biome and weather.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Shortly after starting the game, Robin will reach the landing pod - a safe place where you can store or craft items. There is a 6x8 storage inside the capsule and the manufacturer is one of the most important devices in the game. There are four tabs at the factory:

  • Resources (everything you need to craft the final product).
  • Livelihood - food, water, or whatever is needed to obtain them.
  • Personal - for crafting equipment and tools.
  • Placed objects are useful objects that are placed in the environment.

Right now, there are three vital items that need to be crafted - a knife, a scanner, and a regular oxygen tank.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Important tools

The fastest way is to make a scanner. It requires one battery and one titanium. Titanium can be obtained by destroying limestone ridges that are on the ground and walls of many biomes, including the one you are currently in. Copper ore can drop from such protrusions, which is necessary for creating batteries. Other resources required for the battery are the two ribbons, which are small, narrow, yellow-green plants commonly found in the Winding Bridges caves. When you have collected all the required ingredients, return to the landing capsule to craft a scanner. The scanner allows you to scan fauna, flora, rocks and, most importantly, fragments. Fragments are shards of technology scattered across the surface of many biomes. Each biome has a different set of fragments. One of the most useful technologies which can be scanned on Winding Bridges - "Sea Glider", which significantly increases the speed of movement on water. Note that the scanner requires a charged battery to operate. If the tool runs out of power, create another battery and replace it by pressing R (like reloading a weapon) while holding the desired tool in your hands. Later in the game, you can create a charger and install it in your base so that you can restore the charge from existing, but dead batteries.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

The next important item is the knife. It allows you to collect certain resources and, if necessary, fend off aggressive life forms. To craft it, you need one titanium and one silicone rubber. Silicone Rubber can be crafted from a bunch of algae seeds harvested from an arctic algae forest. One of the forests can be found opposite the tunnel. Once you get there, the bunches of seeds will be highlighted in bright red. Look for bulbs hanging from tall vines that resemble real algae. Try to collect as much as you can carry as you will need even more rubber later. When you have everything you need, return to the landing capsule and create a knife.

The third item to create is a regular oxygen tank. It increases the overall amount of oxygen, allowing you to stay underwater for much longer. To create it, you need two units of titanium and a mesh fiber. The latter is created from two portions of Arctic algae, which are mined in the forest of the same name. To do this, you need a knife (without a knife, you can only get a bunch of seeds from them). Select the knife using the number keys and then RMB. Once you've crafted an oxygen tank at the factory, you'll unlock a few additional crafting recipes.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Although not required, there are a number of other tools you can create right now. One is a flashlight, the other is an air bubble. The flashlight requires a battery and glass. He will help you find materials in the dark. And this is useful because in some places in the game world there really is a lack of lighting. Especially if you are traveling at night. Glass is created by combining two quartz crystals. You may have already seen this resource; It is a white crystalline object that can be found on the surface of Winding Bridges. Air bubble requires silicone rubber and bubble fish. You can use it in two different ways. The first option is to refill the oxygen cylinder with 10 seconds of air. The second, more useful one, is to allow Robin to quickly ascend to the surface of the ocean (instant rise to 100 meters). Speed, with which the player pops up with an air bubble, will be higher than that of most predators. Therefore, this tool is extremely useful if you find yourself in a difficult situation.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Take the time to build a high capacity oxygen cylinder. This is an improved version of the regular tool you created earlier. This is not necessary to progress through the story, but if you are not that experienced, then still create this thing. The Blueprint for the Improved Tank can be found on Winding Bridges. Just explore this biome until you find the blueprint, or move on to the next section if you can do without it. Once you've collected everything you need, return to the landing pod to craft the balloon. Do not forget to remove the old regular cylinder and replace it with a high capacity cylinder.

Sanctuary "Zero"

As you explore the Winding Bridges, you will receive a distress signal emanating from the shrine. It is located at the depth of the biome, you need to go down 200 meters. To find the entrance, you need to move away from the landing capsule in the direction of the place where Robin's shuttle fell at the beginning of the game. When you get to the sanctuary, you will see several alien columns. Follow them to find the sanctuary itself, which is a single alien structure with a wide, square façade. Go inside to get out of the water and stand on your feet. The first thing that you will see in front of you is the cave of the sanctuary. The entrance to the Inner Sanctuary contains three Ionic Cubes that you can and should pick up. These are rare enough resources! They will be required to progress through the game's storyline, although there are many more such items in Sector Zero. Follow the rocky path to get inside the sanctuary - the location is marked with a large number of alien buildings. The inner sanctuary has a large open room with a giant cubic structure in the center.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

On the way there, you will receive a message that the power of the facility is low. An alien disembodied voice will tell Robin that time is running out. The voice will say "storage capacity found." Walk around the cube and climb the ramp to find a green hologram.

Interact with the hologram to trigger a cutscene in which the Architect's consciousness is loaded into Robin's brain. As soon as the girl comes to her senses, she and the alien will communicate with each other. The latter will reflect on the solution to his current situation. Finally, the Sanctuary Cube will be destroyed and you can get out. After Robin leaves the sanctuary, the voice of the Architect informs her that he needs a body into which he can transfer himself. You will learn that this alien belongs to a race called the Architects. Robin asks for a name, and a voice prompts you to call him Al-An. Or, in the future, Alan.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Delta Island

In the coming days after landing, the game will inform you about the location of the Delta Island. It is located in the center of Sector Zero, where there is a communications tower - a huge installation for monitoring activity in Sector Zero. Head towards the island, which is visible when looking south (away from the tunnel and mountains).

When you get to the island, climb the walls to the top where the tower is located. Go through the caves to get to the desired location. It is at this moment, most likely, that you first encounter the threat of hypothermia. Thermal lilies grow on Delta Island and there are several hot springs with crystalline sulfur. Therefore, it is quite easy to survive here. On the way to the top, a cutscene will start featuring Margaret Maida, who asks to stay away from her land, and then hides in her modified CRAB suit. Your PDA will register a signal about its last location. Remember as this will come in handy later.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Once at the top of the island, you will most likely see Delta Station before you spot the tower. There is a "Builder" at the base. It allows Robin to create naval bases in water or on land. Naval bases allow you to use everything that is in the landing capsule - storage and manufacturer - as well as create new tools at hand.

Also inside the base there are certain objects that can be scanned. Most of them have practical applications, but two of them are the most important. Multifunctional room and modification station. The room can be scanned from the outside (a large circular room, there are two of them), and look for the modification station inside the bedroom at the base. The latter is used to enhance certain equipment and tools, including a knife and an oxygen tank. After scanning everything you need, leave the base and climb the stairs in front of you to the communications tower. You will learn that the following crew members lived at Delta Station - Frad Lachance, Jeremiah Murgle and Emmanuelle Desjardins.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

At the very top of the island, Robin will find a communications tower. There are several CCPs nearby, most of which belong to Jeremiah. There is a terminal in front of the tower stairs. When Robin interacts with him for the first time, he will receive a status report stating that the area is being actively monitored by satellite.

How to build a "Sailor"

At this stage, you will be transported to the deeper corners of the region. It is highly recommended to create the "Sailor" - a submarine that can be modified according to your needs using removable modules (which, if necessary, can be removed). The first step towards this is to find the fragments on the Winding Bridges, Thermal Spiers and in the Thermal Zone. The easiest way to do this is at the Thermal Spiers, in the biome surrounding Delta Island. Once you've scanned the three different parts, unlock the "Sailor" blueprint.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

You will also need a portable transport builder to create the transport itself. Fragments of it (three needed) can be found on the Winding Bridges, but most often they are found in the Arctic Algae Caves, which are huge caves, the entrance to which is located in the Arctic Algae Forest. Be careful when diving into these waters; sea monkeys can steal your belongings, and it is not so easy to find a way out. When you have both blueprints in your hands, it's time to create the compartment and transport. Craft a portable transport collector, equip it, and throw it into the water. The object will float to the surface and unfold. Climb up by clicking on it and then click again to open the crafting menu.

Then you can create the "Sailor", but first you have to collect all the necessary components. And this is difficult to do. As soon as you manage to get all the materials for the "Sailor", return to the portable collector or throw it into the water if you turned off earlier. create a "Sailor". After a short animation, he will fall into the water right in front of you. You can enter through the sunroof. The "Seafarer" is powered by conventional and ionic energy cells, which can be charged using energy cell chargers. Alternatively, you can build a docking shaft that allows you to charge the Sailor in the dock. Controlling the "Sailor" practically does not differ from the control of Robin. The mouse is used to rotate the camera, WASD to move. The main feature of the "Seaman" is modularity. Using its modules, you can choose what the Sailor will do. It can become a mobile storage or teleportation device. You can improve it with the help of upgrades made at the manufacturer. Both modules and upgrades are unlocked by exploring the planet, although some upgrades will be available by default.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

In the next section, you will have to dive in the "Sailor" to a depth of 150 meters, but the transport available by default will not be able to do this. To improve his immersion, you need to buy the "Sailor Depth Module" - Mod. one". It increases the maximum diving depth to 300 meters. The drawing is quite simple (you can see it on the corresponding PDA tab). After creation, you can install the upgrade on the "Sailor" by opening the hatch on the roof of the cabin. Save this upgrade so that you can unlock Level 2 and Level 3 immersion enhancements in the future.

How to get the "CRAB" suit

The woman you saw was wearing a CRAB suit. This suit allows you to navigate the seabed. It is equipped with two modifiable arms and is very resistant to damage. His blueprints are hidden in the Glacier Valley, at Zero Station and in the Koppa Mine. The last location is the most dangerous of the three listed, but there you can also find an arm upgrade for the "CRAB" suit, so you will have to look there anyway. The mine entrance is located southwest of Delta Island, about 120 meters below the Thermal Spiers. Not far from the island. You will know you have found the entrance when you see the doors in the biome wall. For the "Sailor" the passage is too small, and it is almost impossible to overcome and explore the entire location on one oxygen, no matter how much and what kind of equipment you brought with you. With the exception of the pipe network, this is a workable but very expensive method. It is better to find an additional entrance through which it will be possible to drive the "Seafarer". It is located near the main entrance. In a crevice filled with volcanic geysers. Do not be embarrassed or intimidated to move through the small hole on the Sailor. It's pretty simple, even though there are geysers.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Once inside, you will see a large hole in the ground with footprints going down. There are also shards of ore, but this place no longer works. Follow the trail through the cave to the platform with the damaged CRAB suit on it. You can scan this piece. All four costume fragments are in this cave. The first also includes a fragment of a hand with a drill from the "CRAB" suit. You will need two of these, and they are also hidden in the cave. A little deeper in the cave is the area with the second drill fragment. This will be a kind of loading dock for the CRAB suits. There is a small console in this area, next to one of the docks, and there you can find a jet jump upgrade for the CRAB suit. Use this upgrade as soon as you create the costume itself. In the same area, look for the databox containing the transport update console.

There is a bend at a very great distance down from the loading area of the cave. Here the cave is divided into two parts. There is a large artifact on the left side. It is not needed to progress, but since you are in this area anyway, take the time to scan it. Artifacts are scattered throughout the Zero Sector, and scanning enough will reward you with new hybrid technology.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

The path to the right is where the mine ends. There is a blueprint for a headlamp in the elevator in the center of the room. Also in this adit there is the last fragment of the "CRAB" costume. Scan. Now you have collected and studied everything that was hidden in this mine. You can go out in the same way as you came here, or through the hole in the ceiling in the last adit.

Now that the blueprint for the CRAB suit and the drill is unlocked, you can return to your base or landing capsule and craft them. the CRAB suit is created in a portable transport assembler. As soon as you make it, it will sink to the bottom of the reservoir. You will be able to enter it and navigate along the bottom using familiar controls. You can also operate your left and right hands by clicking on LMB and RMB, respectively.

Margaret's underwater base

Traveling to Delta Island, Robin briefly meets Margaret Maida in her modified CRAB costume. Shortly before leaving the island, the woman asks to stay away from her lands. For Robin, this is, on the contrary, a good reason to stalk Margaret. It turns out that she is not alone on this island, as it seemed at first. In the cut-scene, you will find out where Margaret's underwater base is located.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

To reach Margaret Maida's base, located at a depth of 380 meters, it is recommended to use the Sailor equipped with Sailor Depth Module - Mod. 2 ". The base can be reached from the western corner of the underwater cave of water lilies. It can also be accessed through a crevice under the northern Thermal Garden of the Volcanic Trees. When Robin first enters the large room of the base, Margaret asks her to turn off the communications tower on Delta Island, and then leaves to the adjacent large room. The rest of the compartments have special internal modules, including a refrigerator, sink, toilet and shower. Her Snow Stalker will prevent Robin from entering other rooms of the base until she deals with the communications tower. Scan the Forced Test Module and pick up the Sailor Perimeter Protection System upgrade from the carpet where the work table is. You can pick up the third magazine from Margaret's workshop, and the fourth from her bedroom. In general, its naval base is blocked by default, and it will be possible to get inside only after you visit the Delta island and meet Margaret there. Which is what we did earlier in our guide.

Hacking the communication tower

After Margaret Maida asks you to turn off satellite surveillance, find and scan the Forced Test Module located on the table with Polar Fox parts. Next to the table is the "Sailor Perimeter Protection System" upgrade. Be sure to take it with you! The Forced Test Module drawing consists of simple materials as well as a special element known as a parallel processing assembly.

You will need to scan three pieces to unlock the drawing of the parallel processing assembly. Each of the three Mercury II sections has at least one parallel node fragment.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

"Mercury II" - a crashed ship. Its wreck consists of three parts, the largest of which lies on the slope bordering the Thermal Zone, water lily islands and volcanic trees. The second largest is on the water lily islands, and the third, smallest part - at the edge of the Thermal Zone, above the crevice.

At this point in the game, you are expected to have already built a Sailor equipped with a Level 1 Immersion Upgrade. This will make it easy for you to reach the entrances to the Mercury II compartments. It is recommended to bring a marine glider and a high capacity oxygen cylinder. There should also be a flashlight that will come in handy at the stern and bow of the Mercury II. Oxygen plants can be found there and there, which will help buy time in the search for fragments of the parallel processing unit. Also grab the laser cutter, which is needed to get a couple of fragments, as they are sealed behind small doors that only open when the cutter is present. After scanning all three block fragments, return to the landing capsule or naval base with the manufacturer and create a parallel processing node. The rest of the components for the compulsory test module are much easier to obtain. After you get the materials, start making it.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Once you've finished creating the Forced Test Module, head to the Communications Tower at the top of Delta Island, taking this module with you. After reaching the tower, climb the stairs to the port and insert the module. Then go downstairs and select "Enter Test Mode" to complete the mission. You will be contacted by Margaret Maida, who will tell you how to get to her greenhouse.

Greenhouse Margaret

As soon as Robin disconnect the communication tower, Margaret will call her and tell her where to go to get to her greenhouse. It is located on the southeastern iceberg of the East Glacier. The coastline of this iceberg is marked by several crates, signal bombs and a part of the skeleton. After talking with Margaret in her greenhouse, you will receive a hint about where to find the Omega laboratory. Also here you can collect a variety of edible fauna.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Laboratory "Omega"

Shortly after you start chatting with Margaret in her greenhouse, Robin learns where to look for the Omega Lab. In order to gain access to the laboratory, which is located at a depth of 200 meters inside the largest suspended massif on the lily pads islands, it is recommended to install a first level dive module on the "Sailor". Upon arriving at the scene, you find that the base is in disrepair, as Margaret set it on fire, which subsequently led to the explosion of a nuclear reactor. There are several PDAs scattered around the base, from which it can be understood that Omega was a research center for experiments with the Haraa bacteria from the Frozen Leviathan. You will also learn that the researchers Vin Fam and Daniel Valenti once lived here. In a large laboratory room, you can scan a nuclear reactor, a battery charger and a couple of command chairs. Any multipurpose room has an exclusive aromatherapy lamp.

Station "Zero"

You can get to the abandoned base through a gap in the Rare Glaciers, northeast of the landing capsule. You can take a sea glider with you, as the Ice Shelves above the Rare Glaciers do not allow the player to replenish oxygen supplies. When you come to the surface, you will find yourself in a small cave with several thermal lilies. From there, follow the direct path to the base, behind which is the Phase Gate. In the laboratory at the base, you can find an ion cube, a data box for the control room, several drawings made by Lillian Bench's children, a fragment of a modification station, a portrait of Robin and Sam the cat, several PDAs about Lillian Bench. The kitchen has scannable items from the Miscellaneous category, some posters, and a water filtering machine. You can scan the multipurpose room that serves as the base's greenhouse and collect fruit from the trees grown in the garden beds.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Glacier valley

When you go to the Glacier Valley, you will need to cross the glacial bay. It's better than walking through an ordinary glacier filled with jellyfish eyes. This alternate entrance is deep below the ice front. It will be difficult for you to get there on the Sailor. Fortunately, you don't need it in the Valley, so you can leave it and move around the cave until you reach the surface. As soon as you surface, you will find a dock nearby, along which you can get out onto land. If you go through the glacier bay, you will receive a distress signal from a beacon outside the Phi Robotics Center. Head towards it and lift it up to get a blueprint. Immediately climb the nearest hill using the ladder that will lead to the valley wall where the Phi robotics center is located. Enter the cave to keep warm, because the temperature in this place is extremely low. While here, you can scan the remains of the Spy Pingguywing. In Zeta Landon's bedroom, there is a piece of an insulated suit that will help the player survive the frost of Sector Zero.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

In a glacier valley without a padded suit, your main enemy will be the low temperature. Due to the unusual climate of Sector Zero, snowstorms are common here, which can lead to the instant death of Robin. The glacier lake, caves and underwater tunnels are safe spots to ride out the blizzard. Watch out for snow stalkers - bear-like predators that will attack Robin as soon as they are found.

How to build the "Polar Fox"

Your first goal in Glacier Valley is to build the Polar Fox. It is a ground vehicle that can hover over a glacier. Fragments of it are scattered throughout the area. You need to scan three. In the center of robotics "Phi" you can find the Tech Station "Polar Fox", which will allow you to create it. Once you collect the materials, craft a tech station somewhere in the valley using the builder. Then create the "Polar Fox" on it. They need to be driven in the same way as other vehicles. Left Shift allows you to accelerate forward.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Frozen Leviathan

After exploring the Glacier Valley, you may have already stumbled upon the Phi Excavation Site, where the Frozen Leviathan is located. The ultimate goal of research is to cure the leviathan. It is located in the northwest corner of the depression, under a high ice mountain. The entrance to the Phi excavation site, indicated by several crates and signal bombs, is located in the northwest corner of the location.

Before entering the cave, you can head south from the entrance and pick up the blueprint for the Polar Fox Jet Jump Module. After that, go to the cave. When you go inside, you can stumble upon Parvan's bunker. Inside there are posters, a jukebox disc and several PDAs about the late security officer Parvan Ivanov. If Al-An is in Robin's head when entering this cave, he will also indirectly inform the main character of his presence. The frozen leviathan is enclosed in a large ice cube. Alterra experimented on him. Explore the cave. You can take the elevator to the next level, where there will be a leviathan's head. The bottom tunnel in the ice floe leads to the chamber that was used to analyze the creature's claw. You can scan it. You can also pick up a bottle of hydrochloric acid, located on the table near the claw. At the end of the lower tunnel, a fragment of the CRAB suit can be scanned. The entrance to the main chamber of the cave is covered in debris due to its destruction, inadvertently caused by Sam IU launching an explosive device in an attempt to destroy the Haraa bacteria. There is an inactive crane on the opposite side of the room. It is next to the table where Alexis Ridell's report on the investigation of the aforementioned incident lies. Before leaving the cave, you can collect some Fever Pepper. They are purple fruits hanging from small trees that keep Robin warm when she eats them. that Sam IU launched an explosive device in an attempt to destroy the Haraa bacteria. There is an inactive crane on the opposite side of the room. It is next to the table where Alexis Ridell's report on the investigation of the aforementioned incident lies. Before leaving the cave, you can collect some feverish pepper. Before leaving the cave, you can collect some Fever Pepper. They are purple fruits hanging from small trees that keep Robin warm when she eats them.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

At the second level of the glacier, there is a sample injection robot that removes the Haraa pustules located in different parts of the leviathan. To do this, you must have a spy penguywing and a control panel in your inventory. Use it to get an antidote.

If you exit the cave containing the Frozen Leviathan, head south past the glacier forest and the Frozen River bordering the southern border of the forest. You must climb the hill. There will be a signal checker next to its top. Walk left, walk past the top of the frozen waterfall. Go down the slope leading to the western edge of the glacier lake. The location of the spy penguywing and antidote is directly under the slope opposite. Deploy the Spy Penguywing and use it to collect the Antidote located at the end of the cave. You can find this location by scanning a map of the Glacier Valley at the Phi Robotics Center. Return to Excavation Site "Phi" and insert the Antidote into the Injection Robot. Interact with the terminal to begin injecting the antidote into Haraa's pustules in the Frozen Leviathan. After performing a successful injection, Robin will report the death of his sister. If there is Al-An in her head, he will talk about what the Architects are doing.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Arctic spiers

Al-An needs a new medium so that he can provide a wider range of services than Robin's brain allows. To do this, Robin needs to collect certain parts that are in various caches of the Architects in the "Zero" sector. It should be emphasized that until Alan is in Robin's head, the caches will be inaccessible.

The first cache is located in the Arctic Spiers, a land biome connected to a glacial bay. The insulated suit, which was picked up earlier, will be very useful on the spiers, but it requires a resource that you still do not have - the snow stalker's fur. I hope you scanned the fragments of the Spy Pingguywing while you were in the Valley. If not, go back and scan them. Spy pingwywing is easy enough to build and doesn't require anything you haven't found yet. You will also need to create a spy pingwingwing control panel. After you've built all of this, head back to the glacier valley and place the Spy Penguywing on the ground. Equip the remote and right click to activate the device.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

Be careful not to drive the Spy Penguywing into the water or over 50 meters from Robin. To get the snow stalker's fur, you need to find the stalker himself and grab him. You need 4 furs, and all parts can be obtained from one stalker. To pick up the Mech from the Spy Pingguywing, just walk up to it and open the vault by clicking LMB. Then go back to the manufacturer and create an insulated suit. Be sure to craft all three parts - helmet, spacesuit and gloves. This gives you complete protection from the cold.

The arctic spiers are inaccessible by default, as the path to them is through a destroyed bridge connecting the spiers to the glacial bay. Locate the torn piece of hydraulic fluid in the axle half and scan it. the drawing does not require a lot of resources. But if you don't have the gel, you will have to re-visit the arctic algae forest and other biomes. The closest gel biome is Deep Winding Bridges. Once you collect the materials, craft one hydraulic fluid and return to the bridge. Insert it into the fuel compartment to access the axle terminal.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

The best way to travel along the spiers is on the Polar Fox. Move into the canyon and a short distance from the bridge you will find a technical area with a large crane. There is a blueprint for a seismic striker here. Go back and create some of these devices.

If you don't meet anyone on your way to or from the tech area, then you still have to face the ice worm. The ice worm is a land leviathan that swarms in the ground and attacks its prey from below. Sounds from Robin's running or Polar Fox movement will alert the worms of your location. So be careful. To get through the canyon, you will need seismic strikers. Placing the drummer will create a sound wave that will lure the ice worms towards it. In the meantime, Robin will be able to advance further.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

A cache in the Arctic Spiers is located in the deepest area of the location, in the deepening of the rocks. There is also one ionic cube, one deposit of cubes and tissue for the Al-An vessel. You can only collect Ion Cube deposits once. After scanning the fabric, you will receive a blueprint for the Architect's Fabric, and you can collect resources for it.

Deep cave of water lilies

The second cache is located in the Deep Cave of Water Lilies. Before heading there, make sure to stock up on food and water to survive 1-2 days of play. The cache is located at a depth of 620 meters, so you will have to install the second level dive upgrade on the Seafarer. Make sure there is enough room in your inventory to collect the items. The cave contains the material needed to make Al-Ana's container - a young cotton anemone. You need to collect three of these resources to make 1 hydrochloric acid. The cave is located just below the large suspended island where the Omega Laboratory is located. This floating land mass is easy to spot if you head south from the Thermal Zone, or east from volcanic trees.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

After reaching the suspended island, go down the crevice near it until you reach the very bottom. On the spot, look for one of the two tunnels leading even lower. Follow the alien structures until you reach the cave. Sail too far on the Sailor, otherwise it may get stuck. There is a skeleton fragment in the cave, which is needed for Al-Ana's container. Scan it.

Crystal caves

The third cache is hidden in the Crystal Caves. Shadow Leviathans live there, so make sure to load your gear. Bring spare batteries and power cells with you. If you decide to go on a "Sailor" with several modules, it is recommended to install an upgrade of power and / or engine, as this way you can quickly escape from danger. These upgrades can be found in sea monkey nests near the crashed ship. You can also install a perimeter defense system that will neutralize predators and, hopefully, prevent attacks from the Shadow Leviathans. The Crystal Caves can be accessed through the Deep Thermal Zone or from Margaret Maida's base.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

The entrance to the cache is located in the deepest part of the cave. Shadow Leviathans will circle around two crystal formations that lead to a cache where the Architect's organs are to be scanned. We'll have to leave the "Sailor" for a while to follow the narrow path leading to the cache. Once in place, scan the organs.

Walkthrough Subnautica: Below Zero

To craft a vessel for Al-An, you will need access to the crafting base, which is located in the deepest part of the crafting caves. The crafting base caves are located deep within the Crystal Caves and can be seen by their characteristic red crystals. Two tunnels go down, each of which has its own Shadow Leviathan. Follow any of them and try to find a place where you can park the "Seafarer" as you will have to leave it. The entrance to the manufacturing base is just below 900 meters.

Inside the base, on the left hand side, there are 3 terminals. Each of them is responsible for creating one part of the Al-Ana vessel. Load the required materials into each terminal and start the vessel making process.

After creating the vessel, Al-An asks to meet with him at the Phase Gate, which is not far from the station "Zero". Once you reach the Phase Gate, you can complete the game by activating it and leaving planet 4546B.
