Age of Empires 4 like many other games will be quite greedy and this can have an impact on the performance of your computer and thereforedrop your FPS.
In order to be able to optimize your frames per second, you will have to go through the game settings to adjust the graphic qualities of various elements.
Where can you set your FPS in Age of Empires 4?
If you want to optimize your performance, you can do so directly in-game by going to Settings by pressing the Esc key . After accessing the Settings, go to the Graphics menu located between UI and Audio. You just have to make the settings you want, but we recommend these changes:
- reduce the quality of the shading to Medium or even worse Low
- turn off anti-aliasing quality
- set the Physical option to Low
Also remember to play in full screen and not in windowed screen under penalty of reducing your FPS, but also to have the recommended scale with the performance of your computer . It should be noted that it is also advisable to deactivate the Xbox Game Bar . To do this, do the following:
- Click on the search bar on Windows 10 and type the word Settings
- Then press on " Games "
- Click " Disabled " for Xbox Game Bar and uncheck "Open Xbox Game Bar"
