New World: Everything about the 133 legendary weapons and how to get them

 Anyone who has in the endgame of New World arrived is on the hunt for the best equipment. The legendary weapons play an important role in this. There are currently 133 of them and in this guide we'll tell you how to get these weapons.

What is special about legendary weapons? The legendary weapons are the most powerful you can get in the game. However, they differ somewhat from classic weapons, because their values ​​and effects are completely fixed and offer no scope for change. You can only insert one jewel according to your wishes .

There are currently 133 legendary weapons in the game, each with their own name. Their distribution looks like this:

  • 6 legendary battle axes
  • 6 legendary spears
  • 8 legendary shields
  • 9 legendary muskets
  • 10 legendary axes
  • 11 legendary bows
  • 11 legendary fire sticks
  • 11 legendary life sticks
  • 12 legendary rapiers

How do you get legendary weapons? There are currently 3 different ways to get Legendarys:

  • Some can be made through crafting
  • Some are tied to legendary weapon quests
  • You can get most of them through drop luck on bosses or from chests

In the following we introduce you to the different weapons and reveal how you can get them. In addition to the legendary weapons, there is also legendary armor, accessories and fishing rods. 

Get legendary weapons through crafting - 19 weapons

How do you get the recipes? You will know the recipe of some weapons right from the start, such as the Flawless Grandmaster's Spear. All you have to do there is find the materials you need.

Other weapons require an item, such as “Shattered Swords” in the legendary sword “Wispers of the Wood”. As soon as you have found this item, you will automatically know the recipe at the respective crafting station.

Wispers of the Wood (Sword): This legendary is aimed primarily at players who want to use their swords offensively. You need the armorer at level 195 and a forge at level 5. In addition, the following materials are required:

  • 14x Asmodeum
  • 8x rune leather
  • 3x glittering ebony
  • 1x Etched Handguard (random drop from level 45+ humanoids)
  • 1x Shattered Swords (random drop from strong creatures and chests of level 58+)
  • 4x Zinnober
  • 2x mica skin 
Wispers of the Wood (Sword)

Dark Sky (Great axe): This legendary is aimed at players who want to use the war ax offensively. For the production you need the armorer at level 200, a forge at level 5 and the following materials:

  • 20x Asmodeum
  • 15x Runenleder
  • 5x glittering ebony
  • 1x Empowered Counterbalance (random drop from level 45+ humanoids)
  • 1x Ancient Bearing (random drop from strong creatures and chests of level 58+)

Dark Sky (Great axe)

 Musket of the Unseen Power: This legendary musket increases the damage of headshots, making it ideal for targeted shooters. You need the engineer at level 200, a workshop at level 5 and the following materials:

  • 1x Intricate Firearm Lock (random drop from level 45+ humanoids)

Musket of the Unseen Power

 Warpwood (bow): This legendary bow mainly increases your damage over time. For the production you need the engineer at level 200, a workshop at level 5 and the following materials:

  • 1x Enchanted Bow String (random drop from level 45+ humanoids)
  • 1xSplintered Bow (random drop from strong creatures and level 58+ chests)

Warpwood (bow)

 Axe of the Abyss (Hatchet): This axe is ideal if you want to deal a lot of damage and at the same time have to take damage from enemies. Because the passive effect “Keen Berserk” gives you 14% increased critical chance if your life falls below 66% (spelling mistake in the screenshot) in berserk mode.

Voidbringer's Rapier (Rapier): This legendary rapier increases your damage from bleeding and gives you life back. For the production you need the armorer at 200, a forge at level 5 and the following materials:

Yul'kithir (War Hammer ): This legendary hammer is aimed at players who want to deal a lot of damage with the weapon. For the production you need the armorer at 200, a forge at level 5 and the following materials:

Gilded Defense (Round shield): This legendary shield increases your movement speed when blocking and in defiance, which makes it an interesting weapon for tanks. For the production you need the armorer at 200, a forge at level 5 and the following materials:

Get legendary weapons through quests - 6 weapons

Cutlass Keys Slicer (sword): This legendary sword is ideal for you if you want to play offensively. So you get additional damage for light and heavy attacks, as well as a bonus after the vortex blade.

To get the weapon, you have to do the quest “The Eternal Pool”. This is a series of quests that begins with the NPC Madilon Langlais. It is located in the brackish water area.

You can take on the first quest in the series at level 56, for the last quest you need level 60. During the quests you have to defeat elite opponents in the area, among other things. 

Cutlass Keys Slicer (sword)

Regent's Bow: This legendary bow offers very specific bonuses. So you get life points after a kill and an increased chance of rare loot from mobs.

To get the bow, you have to complete the quest “The Qeen is Dead”. For this you have to defeat 3 bosses who are in brackish water. The quest is part of a series that starts at the NPC Katring Sanders in brackish water.

Spirit of Oblivion (Rapier): This legendary rapier is ideal if you want to survive long in combat. This will restore your life and gain extra stamina when you defeat an enemy. Only the bonus on rare items from mobs and chests does not fit perfectly.

To get the rapier, you have to complete the quest "Blight Resistance". For this you have to defeat the boss Ranger Hearth in Bruchberg, among other things. The quest series begins with the NPC Leyson Reese in Bruchberg. Reese is relatively in the middle of the map.

Lifebreaker (War Hammer): This legendary hammer is particularly strong when you use it against enemies of the Angry Earth type. Because here the hammer offers bonus damage.

To get the hammer, you have to complete the "Anguine Anguish" quest. This is a series of quests that begins at the NPC Percy Ellwood in Edenhain. For them you have to be level 60 at the end and, among other things, defeat the final boss in the “Garden of Genesis” expedition. 

Lifebreaker (War Hammer)

Vengeance Blast (musket): This legendary musket offers you Lifesteal and also a reduced cooldown on skills. To get it, you have to complete the Baetylus Headpiece quest.

This is a series of quests that begins at NPC Leyson Reese and requires at least level 58. Your task is, among other things, to defeat the final boss in the “Lazarus Instrumentarium” expedition. Reese is relatively in the middle of the map in the Bruchberg area.

Rimelash (ice gauntlets): This legendary ice gauntlet offers a good mix of damage and utility in the form of reduced cooldowns and additional mana gain.

To get this weapon, you have to complete the quest "Hand of Hoarfrost". This is a series of quests that begins at NPC Eintou Madaki in Bruchberg. Here you have to collect various materials so that you can get the weapon made by the NPC in the end.

The quest assumes that you are level 60 and have reached weapon level 20 with the ice gauntlets.

Get Legendary Weapons from Random Drops - The rest of the weapons

How do you get the rest of the legendary weapons? At this point in time, this is not 100% clear to us. What is certain is that legendary weapons can drop from the highest dungeon “Garden of Recovery”. There you have the chance if you defeat bosses and open chests.

The following weapons from the expedition are currently confirmed, although it is unclear whether they are only available in the Garden of Recovery:

Angry Earth Exterminator (spear) : This weapon is ideal if you want to cause a lot of damage to members of the Angry Earth faction.

Edenil (hatchet): This legendary hatchet also causes more damage to enemies from the Angry Earth faction and is therefore made for the expedition, but less suitable for content such as PvP:

There are probably more weapons in the PvE arena in the fight against the Spriggan or from reward chests after victories over elite bosses in the endgame areas.
