The Mysterious Key is an item that you will receive during the Fetch Quest. Just go through it to the end - the dog will lead you to this key. To pick it up is one of the goals of this side quest, so you definitely won't pass by.
The quest "Treasure of the Dogs" is available at the Montera farm. Access to it will open after the mission "Who's the Good Boy?" Both quests involve Chorizo the dog. To get started, complete the initial mission, Meet the Monteros. After its completion, a new camp will open, where you will meet a dog.
How to use the Mysterious Key in Far Cry 6
