As with previous Ubisoft games, the developers of Far Cry 6 have placed many different collectibles throughout the map, including roosters. To find them, the player will need to thoroughly study each section of the map. In this guide, we will cover all the roosters and their habitats.
What are roosters for?
The game features 19 roosters, the full collection of which will allow you to get an in-game achievement. To obtain the trophy, you need to collect only 13 collectible animals. The 6 remaining birds will be activated as a free reward in Ubisoft Connect and are optional.
Although roosters are collectible, they can be used in the cockfighting arena at Montero Farm. After obtaining a new bird, you can select it and use it as your fighter. Before the start of the fight in the ring, the player can find out the names of each animal in order to get a clue about their location.
By default, all roosters are not marked on the world map, so the player can find out the location of the birds for 300 credits of in-game paid currency after leaving the starting island. At the end of the game, you can collect each bird in free mode. Also, for a simplified search for missing roosters in our material, it is enough to refer to the corresponding game menu:
- Go to inventory.
- Open the "Collection" section.
- Click on the "Roosters" item.
When approaching a place with a collectible bird, a white box icon will appear on the minimap. It is worth considering that some roosters can only be obtained after completing the corresponding side quest. It is also recommended to pre-clear the map of all anti-aircraft installations in order to activate the possibility of landing from allied points. In addition, it will be easier for the hero to use flying machines.
El Rato. How to find a rooster
After completing the main storyline "Meet Montero" the player will have access to the main hideout in the region. We approach the man who is engaged in cockfighting. To the right of it is a chest with the first bird.
El Dorado. Where to find a rooster and how to complete the "Spur Dispute"
This rooster can be obtained in the process of completing the secondary quest "Spur Over Spurs" or at the end of it. In this mission, the player will have to go in search of spurs for Elvis the rooster. We get on the marker and go down to the underground bunker, which from now on will always be open.
In the large room, before meeting with the army of roosters, we find a storage with a collectible bird.
Asero. How to pick up a rooster
We follow to Losania in the settlement of Werder. In the eastern part of the city, on the outskirts, we will find an animal near a hut with a thatched roof.
El Aguila. Where to collect a rooster
We land at the Cortina weather station or use a helicopter. We fly over the river and land on the mountain a little to the west of the place for hunting Yaran crocodiles.
Papasito. Where is the rooster
We leave for the Valle de Oro region and follow to the Castillo National Zoo. This territory is under the control of the military. We will find a rooster in an open chicken coop with a thatched roof.
El Pico. How to find a rooster
We leave for the poultry farm south of the Yara Botanical Garden. We examine the backyard behind the blue building and take the collectible bird from the box, not far from which lies a dead animal.

We leave for the Segunda settlement and inspect its western side, which is completely built up with various ranches. On a farm with a metal mesh fence, we will find a collectible bird.
El Huebo. How to spot a rooster
We leave for the La Jolla region to the DPD branch, which is located slightly north of the Habanera refuge. We take away inside a large building and rise to the second floor. We break the lock and in the previously closed room we find another rooster.
You can also get to the bird from the street with the help of the "Cat". To do this, go up to the roof and jump into the room through the hole.
El Gaio Magnifico. Where is the rooster and how to complete the task "There is something to lose"
The player will be able to receive this collectible bird as a reward for completing the side quest "There is something to lose." To activate the mission, we follow to the Konuko region in El Este. We disembark at the "Habanera" shelter and move west to the farm. After talking with the girl, the player will have to go to four ranches and complete the simplest tasks.
The owner of the farm Arres will ask you to help him with a fighting cock. We go inside the house, find the key and take the collectible bird in the barn. After that, you must complete the task to save the reward.
Hermoso. How to find a rooster
We leave for the Savannah Fields, which are located northeast of Patriots Peak, the main camp of Legends of the 67th. We move to the most extreme ranch in the west. A box with a rooster is hidden in one of the corrals.
La Bala De Plata. Where to pick up the rooster
This bird can be found during the quest "The Best Enemy of Man", in which the player will have to follow the fighting rooster Chicharron and protect him from enemies. It is not necessary to activate this mission to get to the collectible animal.
The player just needs to get to the Alvarez farm at any time and pick up the bird. We move from the central checkpoint on the Vasia bank to the north-west into the mountains, until we reach the ranch. We take the animal from the cage, which is in the broken cart.
La Bestia Blanca. How to spot a rooster
We leave for Esperanza in the residential complex "Casas Del Lodo", located on the eastern shore of the Bay of Roja. We climb into the house and take away the collectible rooster.
Yara's winged mercenaries. How to get the remaining roosters
This section contains six roosters, which can only be obtained by activating the corresponding reward in Unisoft Connect. To do this, do the following:
- Go to inventory.
- Open the "System" section.
- Click the Ubisoft Connect button.
- After connecting to the system, click "Awards".
- Select each set with roosters in turn and activate the reward.
Each of the sets gives you access to two birds. Below are the details of the Ubisoft Connect Rooster Awards:
- Set "Revolucion". Opens the birds "El Rebelde" and "Sarchento Gaio".
- Set "Fire and Ice". Opens the birds "Ember" and "Hoarfrost".
- Fury of the Fighters Pack. Opens the birds "El Dragon" and "El Rival".
