Halo Infinite is a new installment in the Human / Covenant War franchise. The unique gameplay of the games in the series has been honed over the years, but some of the basic functions are still not obvious. In this guide, we'll show you how to change weapons and equipment in Halo Infinite.

How to change weapons in Halo Infinite

As in the early games of the series, all weapons in Halo Infinite are divided into two categories - kinetic (human) and energy (Covenant). The first type of firearm is effective for reducing the health bar of opponents, and the second is especially useful when you need to break through the enemy's shield. To swap one weapon for another, press the Y button on your Xbox controller or the Q key on your keyboard. If desired, you can assign another button to this action. This is easy to do:

1. Open the Settings menu.
2. Select Controller or Keyboard / Mouse and scroll down until you see On Foot.
3. Find the Switch weapon icon. The key that is responsible for this action will be indicated there. Click on it with the action button (A on the gamepad or LMB on the mouse) and select the key that you think is the most convenient.

How to change gear in Halo Infinite

Gear plays an important role in the gameplay of the new Halo. The grappling hook allows you to move faster across the battlefield, the threat sensor detects invisible people, and the folding wall creates a shield behind which you can hide from enemy shots. Abilities recharge independently of each other. To survive during the battle, you will need to switch between them.

Gear changing is done via the D-pad on your Xbox controller. Each button ("down", "up", "left" and "right") has its own equipment attached. On the keyboard, by default, the keys "1", "2", "3" and "4" are responsible for the types of equipment.
