Some PC players will sometimes encounter certain problems when trying to play the title and among these bugs, there is one that concerns the recognition of your controller by your computer or by Steam. We tell you how to correct this problem which can affect you.
What should you do if your controller is not recognized for Elden Ring?
If you encounter this bug and want to find a solution, well, there are several ways to fix it. So here's what you can do:
- Disconnect all peripherals that are currently connected to your PC and then reconnect your controller, but not the other peripherals to see if the problem is resolved
- Open Steam, then click the Steam menu in the top left. Now click on Settings and select the Controller option. Now press the General Settings button on the controller and finally check the PlayStation or Xbox configs depending on the controller you are using
- Right-click on the Elden Ring game in your Steam library, and then select the Settings menu. Click on the Controllers option and press the arrow. Finally, choose Disable Steam Input
Obviously, all these solutions are temporary and it will probably be necessary to wait for a patch from the developers who can fix this bug permanently to enjoy Elden Ring.
