LOST ARK ERROR 10027 – WHAT IS IT AND WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

 

Anyone who starts Lost Ark during prime time will repeatedly stumble across error 10027 and the message "Due to extreme server load, a connection could not be established". But what does that mean exactly and what can you do about it?

When does the error occur? Error 10027 occurs whenever Lost Ark's servers are far too crowded. This usually happens during rush hours, between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Here, a particularly large number of players want to access the server at the same time.

What can I do against it? There are two options here:

Firstly, you can restart the client and hope that the message doesn't appear next time. It actually works, because players go offline from time to time and people from the queue move up. You have to meet this short moment.

Alternatively, you can change the server region, for example to America and the upcoming EU West servers. However, you will not have access to your characters and account progression in any other region.

However, there is an obstacle with point two, because the error message itself already prevents access to the server regions. We'll tell you how to change regions without being online below.

Can I avoid the error otherwise? Yes, by logging in early and queuing. If you want to gamble at 6 p.m., you should queue between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., depending on the day of the week and the server.

Here's how to change regions in Lost Ark when you're offline

How can I change the region? If you don't come online but want to play on servers in America instead, you can also change the region offline. To do this, you need to find the XML file named “User Option”.

It's in your Steam folder and then under \Lost Ark\EFGame\Config. Scroll all the way down and change the entry for "RegionID" to the desired region, i.e. "EU", "EA" (east coast), or "WA" (west coast).

Since the error does not occur on the American servers, you can play undisturbed there. This trick will probably also work when the new EU West servers come. We will then add the abbreviation accordingly.
