LOST ARK TIER LIST 2023: THE BEST CLASSES FOR PVE AND PVP

 

The MMORPG Lost Ark offers 15 different classes to choose from at the start in the west. But which ones are particularly good and suitable for the endgame in PvE or PvP? We will tell you.

This is how the tier list is structured:  In this article, we would like to tell you which are currently the strongest classes in Lost Ark. In addition, we dealt with the topic very intensively in the beta and also looked at a number of videos and animal lists from experts.

The result was a tier list for PvE and one for PvP since the two ways of playing are very different from each other. The classes were each assigned to different tiers:

• The strongest classes are in the S tier
• There are still strong classes in the A tier, but they are not quite as dominant
• In the B tier are classes that are strong in certain situations
• The currently weakest classes are in the C tier

The important thing about this Tier List is that the order will change depending on the respective updates in the game. We will keep updating the list after the release. The tier list also serves as a guide only. Properly played, any class can be useful in PvE and PvP.

The best classes in PvE

This tier list focuses on how useful each class is in group content in PvE.

 Explanations of the classes in the S tier:

• The Bard and Paladin are set in PvE in the S Tier because they are the only support classes in the game. They are therefore particularly useful in pretty much every group in dungeons and raids.

• The Pistol Lancer is the most defensive class in Lost Ark. She can block attacks with a shield and has a taunt. Accordingly, pistol lancers are useful in groups.
• Above all, the War Dancer comes with some useful group buffs, including increased crit chance and attack speed. This makes her very useful as a DPS because she additionally increases the damage of the group.
• The Berserker also deals additional party-wide damage in the form of a debuff that increases incoming damage enemies take.

Explanations of the classes in the A tier:

• The Artilleryman reduces incoming damage and has a shield for the party. However, if you have support with you, you will not necessarily need this shield.
• Artistic Archer is a rather difficult class overall, but if played well, it can easily compete with those in the S tier. However, she falls to the ground very quickly and a dead player is of little use to the group.
• The Shadowhunter has some useful abilities for surviving alone in the world, including healing when she transforms. The pure values ​​are okay, but it brings significantly less to the group compared to the S tier classes.
• The Scrapper is also strong on its own but brings little benefit to the group.
• The Sorceress has strong burst damage. However, if attacks miss or the rotation is not used well, it will drop in DPS very quickly.

Explanations of the classes in the B tier:

• The Battle Monk is the male counterpart of the War Dancer, albeit with a slightly weaker buff and a bit slower playstyle. Basically, the War Dancer can do almost everything better than the Battle Monk.
• The sniper has good damage and can be almost permanently in ranged combat. The class is strong on its own, but it doesn't do enough for the group as a whole.
• The Deathblade also has some group buffs, but these are very specific to frontal or rear attacks. In random groups in particular, however, this is too specific to be fully exploited.

Explanations of the classes in the C-Tier:

• Soul Fist has a strong burst, but only after long cast times. Therefore, if the attacks miss or enemies are already defeated, the soul's fist does little for the group.
• As a marksman, you almost go into close combat with your strongest build and have to hit enemies in the back. This makes the playstyle a bit more specialized and difficult, and other classes are more useful in the group as a result.

The best classes in PvP

Since we have not yet had any deep experience with PvP, we rely on the Maxroll.gg website for the PvP tier list. Among others, the well-known streamer Saintone and the YouTuber T-Party, who have many years of experience in the other versions of Lost Ark, write there.

 Explanation of this list: The classes listed here are based on which classes are easy to learn and most forgiving of mistakes. That's why the paladin is at the top, but he's also very strong in high-rank PvP.

Some classes, such as Artistic Archer or Bard, improve upon fully mastering them.

 Explanation of this list: The Tier List focuses on you mastering a class perfectly, as well as your teammates and opponents. Because then some classes are easier to counter, such as the artilleryman, which falls from A tier to C tier.

Other classes, like Soulfist, Paladin, or Shadowhunter, are gaining ground because they're harder to counter.
