In Elex 2, the term "destruction" plays a not insignificant role. Through some actions in the game world Magalan you can significantly influence the value. In this guide, we will tell you what destruction is all about, where you can see the value and how you can influence it.
What is Destruction in Elex 2?
Destruction in Elex 2 is basically what "cold" was in its direct predecessor. Destruction thus reflects the reputation of the protagonist Jax, which can be thrown off balance by moral decisions. It affects how your companions and other denizens of Magalan perceive you, and even affects the ending of the role-playing game.
You can check Jax's destruction value in the menu under "Skills". There you will find the current destruction value in the form of a bar at the bottom of the screen, at the end of which a blooming (left) and a withered rose (right) are shown. If the bar fills up towards the withered flower, you tend to act in a destructive manner. If it fills up to the blossoming rose, you have done more good than bad deeds.
Important: Remember that your decisions also affect possible romances. While Caja prefers good deeds, Nasty likes destructive action.
How do I lower Destruction?
If you want to lower the destruction value, you have plenty of options. in many quests, you can make decisions, also in the form of dialogue options. Here are a few examples of how you can lower the destruction value:
- Be friendly and helpful in conversations.
- Join a "good" faction, like the Clerics or Berserkers, to get more opportunities to lower the destruction value.
- Make decisions that lead to peace and reject violence.
- Be helpful: donate money to the bastion at Thialg, for example, or provide groceries to the outlaws.
How do I increase Destruction?
If you want to increase the destruction value, you have just as many options. Commit bad deeds, insult your interlocutors or use violence when making decisions. In the following we give you a few examples of how you can increase the destruction value:
- Be rude and ignorant in conversation.
- Join an "evil" faction, like the Morkons or the Albs, for more opportunities to increase the destruction value.
- Make decisions that lead to violence and reject peace.
- Attacks civilians.
- Oddly enough, your destruction also increases slightly when you kill rats or isopods.
