The Legendary Laboratory of Legends of Runeterra is one of the most peculiar modalities that we can play because here several factors change in the dynamics of the gameplay, and our skills as a player are put to the test. Sure, that makes it one of the coolest modes of all, but not the easiest.
When you enter the Legendary Laboratory, you will surely have several questions, since from the beginning you have to adapt to the guidelines of the modality, since it could be said that it is like a type of LoR campaign. If you don't know how to start in this mode, you don't have to worry, we're going to explain step by step everything you need to know in our complete Legends of Runeterra guide.
What is the Legendary Laboratory of Legends of Runeterra?
It is a game mode located in the "Laboratory" section, it consists of entering a series of missions where you have to defeat several enemies controlled by the AI. Here you cannot use the decks you have created, but select one of the available champions, and the one you choose will have a distribution of cards that revolve around it. Then you can choose an advantage that will help you during the games. The idea is that you overcome the 9 missions being totally undefeated since if you lose only once, you have to start over by choosing another champion.
When entering the game some things change compared to normal mode. The enemy's Life Nexus will only have 10 points, while you will have 30 in your Nexus. However, the opponent will receive more cards than you in each round, and although it may not seem like it, it is something extremely difficult to overcome even though you have 30 life. As you progress in the missions, these variables will change, the opponent will have the same amount of life as you, and there will be other obstacles that you must face, since your deck may not adapt to all the types of opponents you are going to fight.
Tips for playing Legends of Runeterra Legendary Laboratory
- If it appears to you, choose the Blank Mind perk before starting the missions, this allows you to draw a card every time your hand is empty.
- All enemies act differently and have different decks, so be on your toes at all times.
- In this game mode, you have the disadvantage, since you can run out of cards if you make bad moves during the game, and that is something lethal. Always consider this and think about all your moves before acting.
- Use the Eye of the Oracle to get a better view of what could happen with your movements.
- Spend as much mana as you can. Remember that you are going to receive mana and since you do not have as many cards as your opponent, it is going to accumulate, so take advantage of this and spend all the points, but with caution.
- Try to eliminate the opponent's cards that are on the battlefield whenever you can, if they accumulate there, it is very likely that you will not be able to overcome it later.
- If you have spells that can deal damage to the enemy's Nexus, use them whenever you get the chance.
