Lost Ark: Scrapper Guide - Best Builds for PvE and Endgame

The Scrapper in Lost Ark is a martial artist who is quick to punch her opponents. It's easy to play and offers beginner-friendly gameplay, but there are a few things you need to be aware of. We took a closer look and explained what is important.

The Scrapper is a beginner-friendly subclass of the Martial Artist. She carries a weapon on each arm and hits it with her fists. She is one of the few classes without mana consumption, as her identity regenerates skills.

In combat, you position yourself behind the opponent as a scrapper, since you do more damage from behind and your attacks have little range. So you are limited in terms of positioning, but as a scrapper, you compensate for this with a lot of agility.

Her dodge skill differs from other classes in that you can press it twice in a row. This doubles the cooldown from five to ten seconds.

In addition, the class has good crowd control (CC), so you can stun your opponents wonderfully. Your super armor, on the other hand, is low, which is why you fall over quickly with the Scrapper.

On the tier list of the Scrapper is in PvE at the A tier. It is less suitable for PvP since it belongs to the C tier.

PRO

  • agility
  • Beginner-friendly
  • Lots of CC

CONS

  • Little super armor
  • Attacks from behind important
  • Little range

This is how the Scrapper plays

This is the Scrapper's special ability: their identity is two energy bars, one yellow and one green. Accordingly, there are green and yellow abilities that are used with the respective energy.

Balance is important: the bars fill each other, meaning yellow moves fill the green meter and vice versa. Yellow energy also regenerates over time, while green energy does not.

The yellow attacks are weaker and have low cooldowns, so they can be spammed. They're called endurance skills. The green attacks are called shock skills. They have longer recharge times but do significantly more damage.

The scrappers in the leveling process

How should I allocate my first skill points? It is important when distributing the points that you never have to bring the skill levels higher than level 10. Skill level 4 is required for the first tripod, skill level 8 for the second, and skill level 10 for the third.

Level 12: Spend 4 points each on Charging Slash and Dragon's Arrival to use the Great Agility tripod.

Level 14: 4 points on Deathrattle.

Level 16: Now there are 20 points on the earthquake chain for a lot of AoE damage.

Level 20: 20 points on-chain demolition fist.

Level 26: More points on Earthquake chain, now 48 total.

Level 32: You should now have 48 points on-chain destruction fist.

Level 40: 48 points on True Uppercut, for even more AoE damage.

Level 45: 48 total points on Deathrattle.

Level 50: Finally, 48 points come on the roundup sweeper.

This is what it looks like at level 50.
This is what it looks like at level 50.

By the way, you can always reset the skill points for free if you don't like the play style. For example, you can also prefer Demonic Clone in the level phase and replace the cruel blow with it.

The best builds in the endgame

In the endgame, as with most other classes, you choose between two class engravings. This is how you decide which way to play. With the Scrapper, you choose whether you want to focus on the yellow or green meter.

Klassengravur A: Taijutsu

What does the engraving do?  With this class engraving, you opt for the yellow energy, i.e. for the endurance skills. These deal 30% more damage, while the Shock attacks do 30% less.

Yellow energy auto-regen increases by 300% at level 1 of the class engraving, and by 600% at level 3. So you can spam your attacks permanently.

You are very mobile as you propel yourself through many of the endurance attacks. Also, as mentioned above, you can use the dodge skill twice. So it's easy to stay close to the target with the Scrapper. Also, some attacks from behind do more damage.

You have to, too, because your attacks don't have a long-range. Therefore, it is best to take a position close to the opponent. An advantage of this and your mobility is that you can counter with the Scrapper excellently.

Which engravings do I use? In addition to the class engraving, adrenaline is suitable. This engraving increases your crit rate, which is useful since you can use many attacks, which then all have an increased crit chance.

Later, Master of the Ambush is worthwhile, since some of your attacks benefit from being carried out from behind anyway.

Which trading cards are important? To further increase your crit rate, you should start with the Howling Rocks card set. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.

The Light of Redemption set is optimal, but it consists of rare cards. So it will be expensive later, but worth it. The set consists of Shandi, Azena and Innana, Nineveh, Wei, Balthorr, and Thirain. For a 6-piece 30-piece Awakening, the cards give you 8% more Holy damage and convert all your damage to Holy damage.

Use Undefeated Dragon King as your awakening.

What is the rotation like? Your goal is to constantly carry out attacks and have an as little downtime as possible. You should also use the buff from Storming Slash and the debuff from Judgment as often as possible.

You start with Charging Blow to use Iron Cannon Bash and Pummeling Fists in the three seconds of Prepare Attack's Damage buff.

Then use Judgment to place the debuff on your opponent to use Deathrattle, Instantaneous Strike, and Dragon's Arrival.

Most skills are probably on cooldown now. A good opportunity to use Continuous Strike until the other skills are charged. Before that, you use the buff from Storming Slash again.

Class Engraving B: Shock Training

What does the engraving do?  This class engraving focuses on the green meter, which is the shock abilities. Your Shock skills deal 10% more damage and the meter automatically regenerates by 2% per second. At tier three of the class engraving, it's 20% more damage and 4% more per second.

Also with this version of the Scrapper you have to position yourself close to the opponent since your abilities have a short range. The green skills also have long animations, making you very vulnerable while executing them.

With this engraving, you have to think more tactically than in Taijutsu. You can't just spam abilities, you should use them judiciously. But individual skills do more damage.

Also, class engraving doesn't make your yellow skills do less damage. That's why you keep four of them in your rotation at the beginning and three later.

Which engravings do I use? Adrenaline is suitable as a second engraving to increase your crit. After that, you can skill Ambush Masters, as some of your abilities do more damage from behind.

Finally, to make your rotation with shock training a little easier, the spirit absorption engraving is suitable. This gives you 15% more attack and movement speed.

Which trading cards are important? The trading cards are no different from the other class engraving. To further increase your crit rate, you should start with the Howling Rocks card set. It consists of Armel, Seria, Solas, King Thirain, Kharmine, and Delain Armel.

The Light of Redemption set is also optimal here, but it consists of rare cards. So it will be expensive later, but worth it.

Use Undefeated Dragon King as your awakening.

What is the rotation like? To get as much burst damage out of the Scrapper as possible, focus on filling the green meter quickly and using Supernova and Deathrattle as often as possible. It is important that you do not use Deathrattle with less than 76% energy, as you lose too much energy and do too little damage with it.

You start with Storming Slash and use the Damage Buff to then use Supernova.

This is followed by Crushing Smash, which should give you enough energy to use Deathrattle.

With Wilde Tigerpaw and Storming Slash, you recharge your meter. Then you use chain demolition fist.

Ultimately, you always use one or two yellow attacks to have enough energy for the green ones. That's how you keep your balance. For the strongest green attacks, you use Storming Blow beforehand for the three-second damage buff.

What do you say to the scrapper? Have you played them yet? Which class engraving did you choose? Would you rather spam her attacks and use the yellow attacks, or use the green attacks skillfully and deal enormous amounts of damage to the opponent? Write it to us in the comments here.
