The reason is very simple, it is a rights issue that was signed by a former manager of Maradona who would not have the necessary powers to sign such a contract with EA.

As a result, the company holding the rights to the Maradona "license" came into conflict with Electronic Arts (EA), which decided to remove Maradona from the game.
