While there are hardly a handful of jobs available to you in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin at the beginning, the number of classes grows rapidly later in the game. In this guide, we will introduce you to all 27 classes along with their special features and tell you how you can unlock them.
What are jobs?
Jobs represent the available classes for the protagonist Jack and his companions in the action role-playing game Stranger of Paradise. They are divided into the categories "Basic", "Advanced" and "Expert", but not all can be tried out immediately. During their simple jobs gradually unlocked automatically, you must have performed two or more simple jobs and brought them to a certain job level in order to use advanced classes.
So basically you level up one or two easy jobs of your choice, put job points into the skill tree, and at the end of the skill tree, you can meet the condition to unlock an advanced job.
What is the difference between the classes?
Each class has a unique skill that must be triggered manually and costs you MP. This skill is unique to each job and cannot be changed. When choosing a job, you should make sure that you also like the skill associated with it.
In addition, each basic job introduces a new combat style linked to the weapon type. For example, the gladiator brings a sword and shield into battle, while the ronin wields a katana. Since an advanced job combines simple jobs in most cases, you can later choose from several weapon types.
All simple jobs
Contrary to advanced or expert classes, simple jobs bring a new weapon type and with it a new fighting style into play:
All advanced jobs
No longer limited to one weapon type, no longer restricted to one weapon class, the Advanced and Expert Jobs can usually draw on several deadly tools at once, which means that they are no longer restricted in terms of combat style. Combo skills and other improvements from previous jobs can be carried over and new skills can be learned.
