 Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin can be played cooperatively. In this guide, we will explain how you can invite friends to your game and whether it is also possible to connect with players from other console families.

Invite friends and play co-op

One thing straight away: Stranger of Paradise has no split-screen support. You can only play the action role-playing game online with up to three players cooperatively. This option is available to you at almost any time. If you are on the world map, all you have to do is call up the main menu (Start button) and then switch to the online tab. If you're currently on a mission, you'll need to visit a sphere and create a matchmaking room from there.

create room:

Click Create Room in the online menu.

• Under the Set mission, you can select a mission of your choice. If you are already on a mission, this option will not be available to you.
• Playstyle determines the level of difficulty.
• Under Players 1 and 2 you determine whether everyone can join or whether they have to wait for an invitation from you.
• Create Password allows you to set a password that you must share with your co-op partners in order for them to join.
• Finally, you can click on "Create Room", which will make your online session visible to all players. Once all players have joined, you can start the mission.

Find room:

• Click Find Room in the online menu. This option can only be selected on the world map.
• All game sessions of other online players will open up to you. If you want to play with a friend, all you have to do is click on the room with their name and, if necessary, enter the password they have set.

Is cross-play possible?

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. But as the development studio Team Ninja announced to the Wccftech website, crossplay is only possible for players within the console family.

For example, PS4 players can play co-op with PS5 players, while PC owners cannot play together with PS5 or Xbox Series X players. There also don't seem to be any plans to suggest that this feature could be added at a later date.
