WWE 2K22: Destroy the ring - here's how

There have been multiple times in WWE history that the ring has broken apart. You can also recreate these legendary moments in WWE 2K22. In this way, the ring can be destroyed under certain conditions.

The last time a ring fell apart in "real" WWE was on a 2017 edition of RAW when Braun Strowman's "Big Show" was superplexed off the top ring rope and into the ring. This was nothing new for "Big Show", after all, the same thing happened to him after action by Brock Lesnar on a 2003 and 2011 edition of SmackDown against Mark Henry.

Like Brock Lesnar & Big Show back then: This is how the ring breaks apart in WWE 2K22

Unlike old WWE Series games, the destruction of the ring isn't limited to an "OMG" moment. No finisher is needed. Here's how you can demolish the mat in any 1v1 match:

  1. First, make sure in the match settings that the fight can be ended by "KO". For example, you can quickly access the options using the "Triangle" (PlayStation) or "Y" button (Xbox).
  2. If you don't want to wait too long for the event to trigger, you can set the wrestlers' overall energy to very low.
  3. Now you have to choose a suitable superstar. Ring destruction is limited to " Super Heavyweights ". It is enough if the wrestler of the class is selected, which should later end up in the ring.
  4. You must also select a wrestler who has a superplex in their move list. These include Kane, Brock Lesnar or Undertaker in the 95 version.
  5. Now you can start the match. The mat can only fall apart in 1v1 matches.
  6. Now deals at least one yellow body or head damage to the super heavyweight.
  7. Then you throw the opponent with an "Irish Whip" in any corner of the ring.
  8. Then press the right stick up when you are close to the enemy. The opponent should now be heaved onto the top ring rope.
  9. Now press and hold the "Circle" button (PlayStation) / "B" button (Xbox). Your Superstar is now performing a Superplex.
  10. As a result, the super heavyweight is thrown into the ring. The ring breaks apart from the impact and the match is over in a moment for eternity and you are the winner.

Here's what the action looked like on Smackdown in 2003:

And this is how it could go for you in WWE 2K22:

The action only works in match types with an ordinary ring. So you can't do that in Hell In A Cell or Elimination Chamber matches.
