Unfortunately, it seems that this desktop application has not found its audience, since Twitch has made the decision to stop supporting it on April 30, 2022. We detail everything below!
Why is the Twitch desktop app no longer working?
If you can no longer use the Twitch software on Windows or Mac, that's normal! The application has been permanently deactivated since Saturday, April 30, 2022. The Twitch team explains that they made this decision following the various feedback from users, as well as the use made of this application.
Making this choice will allow Twitch to invest more consistently in ways to create between creators and their community. If you were using this application, it is recommended that you now bookmark the Twitch site in your browser for easier access.
You can also uninstall the software now, which will no longer be of any use to you. To do this, go to "Applications and features" on Windows, or in the Finder on your Mac.
