The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe offers us the possibility of seeing lots of different endings. Among them is a rather special one, the Countdown ending. There will be a certain event that will put us in a pretty big problem... and there are some buttons that could avoid a misfortune. Here's how the button sequence for this ending works.
What is the sequence of buttons at the end of Countdown?
When starting the end Countdown, a countdown will be activated, forgive the redundancy, which will end with a nuclear explosion. In the previous room, you can see several screens with numbers and messages: one tells us how many attempts we have left to enter the correct sequence. Along the walls of the room, you will find buttons numbered from 1 to 5 and, on several screens, a button with one of the numbers.
Well... there is no correct sequence! As players of the first installment will know, data miners and hackers spent a lot of time figuring out the effect of the buttons and discovered that the switches are not tied to any action. This is a simple plot device, of which the Narrator himself warns you: there is no way to stop the process you have started, and you just have to wait until you die.
