Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds Tame familiars, catch them and find cookies

 In Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds you can find and even capture familiars if you manage to tame them yourself. To do this you have to track down the hidden bright whites and above that, you need biscuits for taming. We'll tell you here how you can best catch familiars.

Find and tame familiars

Familiars can't only be obtained through summoning or hatching eggs. In fact, the easiest way is to tame them yourself. To do this, you have to keep an eye out for bright blue butterflies in the different regions of the game world. These are referred to in-game as "Bright White".

Those blue butterflies really hide familiar ones. When you're near them, you can activate the hand icon that appears to tame them. Her true form will then be revealed and you can see what kind of familiar she is. If you want to tame the familiar, you must next press on the heart symbol that appears and gives the familiar a cookie. This will complete the taming process and the familiar will join you.

At our level (LV 44) we were able to regularly catch familiars with one star. By the way, bright whites appear on all maps of the game. For example, you can start searching in the north of the gold grove.

For taming you need cookies every time. You will get these automatically from time to time as the game progresses. In the long run, you'll have to get them yourself. The best sources for biscuits are as follows:

• In the shop you can select "Adventure Items" under the "Normal Shop" category on the right. Here you can buy 30 cookies per week for 3,000 gold each.
• The traveling merchant that you can find on the region maps sometimes has cookies on sale.
• Cookies are one of the possible rewards from Al-Khemi's Lucky Pot in Minapolis.
• Normal treasure chests sometimes drop cookies as loot.
