Vampire Survivors: Unlock All Characters & Their Abilities

Vampire Survivors: All Characters & Their Abilities

You start in Vampire Survivors with only one character: Antonio. However, as the game progresses, you can unlock many more characters, each with their own passive bonuses and abilities.

Pasqualina	–	100 golds	Starts with +10 percent speed for most weapons and gains an additional 10 percent speed every 5 levels (maximum 40 percent).
Gennaro	–	600 golds	Starts with +1 projectile for most weapons.
Arca	Upgrade the Fire Wand to level 4.	500 golds	Weapon cooldown is reduced by 5 percent every 10 levels (maximum 15 percent).
porta	Upgrade the Lightning Ring to level 4.	750 gold	Starts with +30 percent to AOE damage for most weapons and the weapon cooldown is -90 percent in the first level.
lama	Survive for 20 minutes with any character.	–	Gains 5 percent to Strength, Run Speed, and Curse attributes every 10 levels (maximum 20 percent).
poe	Upgrade the Garlic to level 7.	800 gold	Starts with -30 maximum health and +25 percent Magnet ability.
Clerici	Restores 1000 life points over all runs.	900 gold	Starts with +50 maximum health points, health regeneration of +0.5 life per second and +400 percent AOE damage for most weapons (AOE damage bonus decreases with level up - completely gone from level 5)
dommario	Collect over 5,000 gold in one run.	850 gold	Starts with +40 percent projectile speed and -40 percent run speed.
Krochi	Defeat a total of 100,000 enemies.	950 gold	Starts with +20 percent run speed and one revive (at level 33 he earns another revive).
Christine	Raise the Pentagram to level 7.	500 golds	Starts with an extra level, -50 maximum health points, 35 percent strength, -25 percent cooldown and +30 percent run speed.
Pugnala	Can be found in a coffin.	1000 gold	Gains +1 percent strength per level and starts with +20 percent run speed.
Giovanna	Can be found in a coffin.	1000 gold	Gains +1 percent projectile speed per level and starts with +20 percent run speed.

Mortaccio	Defeat a total of 3,000 skeletons.	600 golds	Gain +1 projectile every 20 levels (maximum +3 projectiles).
cavallo	Defeat a total of 3,000 Lion Heads in one run.	500 golds	Gain +1 projectile every 20 levels (maximum +3 projectiles).
Ramba	Defeat a total of 3,000 Milk Elementals in one run.	500 golds	Gain +1 projectile every 20 levels (maximum +3 projectiles).
O'Sole	Defeat a total of 3,000 Dragon Shrimp in one run.	500 golds	Gain +1 projectile every 20 levels (maximum +3 projectiles).
Sir Ambrojoe	Defeat a total of 6,000 Stage Killers.	500 golds	Starts with +10 projectiles, but loses two projectiles per level (up to level 6), from level 6 he gets +1 projectile every 20 levels again (maximum +3 projectiles).
Iguana Gallo Valletto	Obtain the Infinite Corridor.	2,000 golds	Starts with an extra level and +15 percent weapon effect duration, -15 percent cooldown, -50 percent greed, +3 reroll and +3 skip.
Divano Thelma	Obtain the Crimson Shroud.Obtain the Crimson Shroud.	2,000 golds	Starts with an extra level and +15 recovery, +30 percent luck, -50 percent greed and +6 banish.
Zi' Assunta Belpaese	Can be found inside a coffin in Cappella Magna.	5,000 gold	Starts with +20 percent run speed and +10 percent curse. Per level, Zi'Assunta gains +0.5 percent to Strength, Projectile Speed, Weapon Effect Duration, and AOE Damage.

How do I get the characters out of the coffins?

The four characters in Vampire Survivors - Pugnala, Giovanna, Poppea, and Concetta - can only be found in coffins. The coffins are located in the different levels in the game and can be found using the map in the pause menu. You unlock this using the item “Milky Way Map” which you can find in the level “Dairy Plant”. The locations of the coffins are marked as question marks on the map.

As soon as you stand near a coffin, a ring of enemies will appear. In order to open the coffin, you must defeat each of these opponents. Once that's done and the coffin is open, you'll unlock the character trapped inside for purchase.

How do I unlock the secret bonus characters in Vampire Survivors?

So far there are two secret characters in Vampire Survivors. While you need a cheat code for one bonus character, you have to mess with death himself for the other.

Exdash	From the main menu, quickly type “ x-x1viiq ” on your keyboard.	Starts with -23 maximum health, -10 percent run speed, -10 percent strength, -50 percent projectile speed, -10 percent weapon effect duration, +10 percent weapon cooldown, and +100 percent luck.
toast	Defeat the Stalker or Drowner after unlocking Exdash, then quickly press "Down Arrow" + "Spacebar" when Toasti appears at the bottom of the screen.	Starts with -99 maximum health, +20 percent run speed, -10 percent strength, -10 percent to AOE size, -50 percent weapon speed, -10 percent to weapon effect duration, +10 percent cooldown and +100 percent luck.
Mask of the Red Death	Defeat Death after 30 minutes of play.	Starts with +100 percent movement speed, +20 percent strength and 255 life points.
Leda	Defeat Leda in the Gallo Tower.	Starts with +5 armor, -20 percent run speed, +100 percent strength, +10 percent to AOE size, and -10 percent cooldown.
Peppino	In the bonus stage Il Molise you have to attack the plants with Celestial Dusting to heal them. If you have healed 100,000 life points, you can buy Peppino for 666 gold.	Starts with +20 maximum health points, +2 armor, -60 percent AOE damage, +100 percent magnet ability and -100 percent run speed. Gain +10 percent AOE damage at levels 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21.

The most secret character in Vampire Survivors: missingNo

Getting the secret character missingNo isn't that easy, because you can only unlock it by modifying game files . However, he's definitely worth the effort as he completely randomizes both his weapon and stats after each run.

A tip in advance: Use the search function in the text editors with Ctrl+F.

Here we explain step by step how you unlock missingNo:

• Open the Vampire Survivors game files by right-clicking on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Manage".
• Click on “Browse Local Files”.
• In the Vampire Survivors folder, open resources > app > .webpack > renderer .
• In "renderer" is the file "SaveDataBackup.sav" that you open with the text editor or Wordpad.
• Search for the spot marked “BoughtCharacters” with CTRL+F . Behind it you see a long bracket with characters: ["POE", "PASQUALINA" ...]. In this bracket you enter “FINO” (including the quotation marks) at the end. Separate the names with a comma before the quotation marks.
• Look for the “UnlockedCharacters” location in the file. In the brackets behind you enter “FINO” (including the quotation marks) again at the end.
• Scroll to the bottom of the file or search for "checksum:" A long number is entered here ". Deletes the number between the quotation marks.
• The following procedure is slightly different depending on the operating system :
• On Windows 11, save the file and right-click on it. Go to “Further Options” and select “CRC SHA” and as a further sub-item “SHA 256” – do that. You will now see a small window containing a long number with several letters. Copies them to a new text document.
• On Windows 10 you copy the entire text of the file (mark with Ctrl+A ) and paste it in a hash tool like https://emn178.github.io/online-tools/sha256.html. Here you get a similar, long number with letters.
• Changes all uppercase letters contained in the number to lowercase letters .
• Switch back to the SavaDataBackup.sav file and copy the number/letter sequence into the space between the quotation marks after "checksum". Saves the file.
• Start Vampire Survivors and go to Options.
• Click on “Restore Backup” under Options and confirm the process by clicking on the “Confirm” button. The game restarts . Now missingNo should appear in your character selection screen. Have fun!
